MacOS PKG Notarization status is Rejected with status code 7000
I developed a macOS application and have already signed the pkg package. However, when I submitted it for notarization using the following command: xcrun notarytool submit --signed.pkg --apple-id "**@gmail.com" --team-id "2*******M" --password "this is password" --wait I received a "Rejected" status. The log provided the following details: "logFormatVersion": 1, "jobId": "f5f3751d-b449-4a2f-b905-32d38ab5963b", "status": "Rejected", "statusSummary": "Team is not yet configured for notarization. Please contact Developer Programs Support at developer.apple.com under the topic Development and Technical / Other Development or Technical Questions.", "statusCode": 7000, "archiveFilename": "*********.pkg", "uploadDate": "2025-03-20T03:16:43.651Z", "sha256": "3ca39700c531a66571721424a6c00668748011174b4ae20bbbec5c2d3a8a41f9", "ticketContents": null, "issues": null``` Can you help me, thank you.

Keychain Data Recovery After App ID Prefix Update
We had an issue with IDrive Online Backup which has started discussing on the Developer forum at https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/756904 and as suggested raised a technical support ticket Case-ID: 7747625. At last the old legacy bundle ID prefix changed to to the new Team ID prefix. As a result  one-time loss of keychain data occurs, however we requested and were granted an additional keychain capability that allowed access to keychain data stored under the old legacy prefix, even after transitioning to the new Team ID prefix. We are currently facing a similar challenge with our other application, IBackup. As with the earlier case, we had a mismatch between the App ID prefix and the Team ID, which we resolved by updating the prefix to match the Team ID. Again now encountered a blocker with Keychain data recovery. We have already requested the additional Keychain capability that would allow access to keychain data stored under the old legacy prefix, even after transitioning to the new Team ID prefix. Unfortunately, the team responsible for this has some uncertainty about the process. Please review the details under case 102398017929 and extend this capability to our application to ensure a seamless user experience.

Inquiry about CarPlay Entitlements Application - Black Box Integration for Device Settings & Communication - No Response After 7 Days
Hi everyone, I applied for CarPlay Entitlements on [Date 04. 26, 2024] using CarPlay is Case ID "13045151". I haven't received any updates or responses regarding my application yet. It's been 7 days since the application. My service requires CarPlay integration with a Black Box device. The primary purpose of this integration is to allow users to configure device settings through CarPlay. Furthermore, we plan to utilize the "Communication" category of Entitlements to notify users of parking incidents detected by the Black Box device while parked. This functionality is crucial for alerting drivers to potential issues affecting their vehicles. Could anyone share their experience with the typical turnaround time for CarPlay Entitlements, especially for applications involving device integration and the "Communication" category? Is this delay normal? Is there any way to check the application status or contact the appropriate team to inquire about its progress? Thank you for any insights or advice you can provide! Sincerely,

Declared Age Range API Capability for Enterprise App
Hey Apple Friends, We currently have an enterprise version of our app for debugging and internal distribution. Our release configuration uses our App Store account. However, it appears you cannot add a 'Declared Age Range' to the Enterprise app as a capability making it impossible to debug because we have added the 'Declared Age Range API' locally, but we cannot add it as a capability on the dev portal. Is there any work around for this?

VM App - PCIDriverKit Entitlement for Thunderbolt
I want to help contribute a feature in a virtual-machine app in macOS that supports PCIe device passthrough over thunderbolt. I have a question about the entitlements. Since I do not represent the GPU vendors, would I be allowed to get a driver signed that matches GPU vendor IDs? Is there such a thing as wildcard entitlement for PCIDriverKit? I don't want end-users to have to disable SIP to be able to use this. Any suggestions/leads? Thank you.

Provisioning Profile Missing In-App Purchase Entitlement (Despite Capability Enabled)
I'm facing a persistent issue with provisioning profiles not including the com.apple.developer.in-app-purchase entitlement, even though the In-App Purchase capability is clearly enabled in the Developer Portal for my app. What I’ve already done: Confirmed that the In-App Purchase capability is enabled in the App ID configuration Deleted all provisioning profiles locally (~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles) Regenerated both Development and App Store provisioning profiles from scratch Tried Xcode's automatic signing (after properly registering the device) Verified the provisioning profiles via Terminal (security cms -D -i ...) — the IAP entitlement is missing every time Recreated valid distribution and development certificates Cleaned the Xcode project and settings The result: Every attempt to build or archive the app in Xcode returns: Missing entitlement: com.apple.developer.in-app-purchase I've also opened a support case with Apple, but so far I’ve only been redirected to general documentation. Has anyone encountered this recently? Is there a known delay or sync issue on Apple’s side when enabling capabilities? Can the provisioning profile or entitlement data be manually refreshed by Apple? Is there any workaround that worked for you in this situation?

TestFlight warning when uploading macOS app via Transporter
I'm attempting to upload an updated version of our macOS app for distribution via the App Store. We've done this without issue before, but I am now receiving a warning when I upload the app via Transporter: "Cannot be used with TestFlight because the signature for the bundle at “AXON Studio.app” is missing an application identifier but has an application identifier in the provisioning profile for the bundle. Bundles with application identifiers in the provisioning profile are expected to have the same identifier signed into the bundle in order to be eligible for TestFlight." (90886) I just recently started seeing this warning when I upload our application via Transporter. Before this warning started happening, I was using the exact same process and scripts to build/package/codesign our application. NOTE: we are not using Xcode to build our application, so we can't take advantage of any codesigning/packaging automation provided by Xcode (the app is written in C#/.NET 6.0), so we are doing all build/package/codesign steps using the appropriate macOS command line utilities. Also, I have verified that the app bundle and its contents have valid signatures. Does anyone have any idea what may have changed to cause this warning, or how I might go about determining the root cause so I can fix it?

Possible bug in Capability Requests tab
Hello, Recently our team requested the "Notification (NSE) filtering" capability. Our request was rejected but we sent a new request with a more detailed explanation of our need. However if we go check the status of the request in the Capability Requests tab the status is "No requests". We sent the new request yesterday. Is it even possible to request a capability after a rejected request? We really need the capability and the absence of it is blocking our progress.

Notarization accepted, but the staple and validate action failed! Error 65.
Hi guys, I am new to publishing apps on Apple Store. I used python, pyside6, torch, pyinstaller to build an app for Apple Store. For codesigning, I used the correct "Developer ID Application" to sign the code. When I validate the .app file (codesign -vv --strict ), I got the following my_app.app: valid on disk my_app.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Next, I used ditto to "ditto -c -k --sequesterRsrc --keepParent my_app.app my_app.zip" to zip it. Then, I submitted this my_app.zip file for notarization with "xcrun notarytool submit ..." and got the following "accepted" message. Received new status: Accepted Current status: Accepted............... [20:08:54.530Z] Info [API] Submission in terminal status: Accepted Processing complete After that, I want to staple it with "xcrun stapler staple my_app.app", but I got the following Could not validate ticket for my_app.app The staple and validate action failed! Error 65. To further investigate it, I ran "spctl -a -vvv my_app.app" and got my_app.app: rejected source=Unnotarized Developer ID origin=Developer ID Application... I don't know why this would happen after notarization accepted. Could someone help me understand this issue? Thanks!

Unable to Sign macOS App – Missing Valid Developer ID Application and Installer Certificates – Request for Account Reset?
Hello, I have created multiple Developer ID Application and Developer ID Installer certificates across different Apple OS versions without keeping the Certificate Signing Requests (CSR). As I’m not very experienced with Apple’s system, I made this mistake and now I am unable to create new certificates because I have reached the maximum number of certificates allowed. I develop software based on Electron and have been building and signing my applications with electron-builder, integrating the app signing needed to submit the app to the Apple Store via Transporter. Here is the relevant portion of my package.json build config: "mac": { "appId": "com.nome_app.ext", "type": "distribution", "target": [ "mas" ], "artifactName": "name_app.${ext}", "category": "public.app-category.utilities", "provisioningProfile": "build/prov_prof_mac_name_app.provisionprofile" }, "mas": { "appId": "com.name_app.ravia", "hardenedRuntime": false, "type": "distribution", "gatekeeperAssess": true, "artifactName": "name_app.${ext}", "category": "public.app-category.utilities", "entitlements": "build/entitlements.mas.plist", "extendInfo": { "NSMicrophoneUsageDescription": "This app requires microphone access.", "NSCameraUsageDescription": "This app requires webcam access." }, "entitlementsInherit": "build/entitlements.mas.inherit.plist" } } Currently, I have recreated the Mac Developer Application and Mac Developer Installer certificates, but without valid Developer ID Installer and Developer ID Application certificates, I always get this error during build: `skipped macOS application code signing reason=cannot find valid "Developer ID Application" identity or custom non-Apple code signing certificate, it could cause some undefined behaviour, e.g. macOS localized description not visible, see https://electron.build/code-signing allIdentities= 718241A413826C6A97E2062EAEC155BEF5330CCA "iPhone Distribution: RAVIA SOFTWARE DI VILLANOVA DOMENICO ANTONIO (T9UD6J5HXZ)" (CSSMERR_TP_NOT_TRUSTED) 60B360CCE27FE915799FAE7C8E6A16962F2DE9B0 "3rd Party Mac Developer Installer: RAVIA SOFTWARE DI VILLANOVA DOMENICO ANTONIO (T9UD6J5HXZ)" (CSSMERR_TP_NOT_TRUSTED) 4518A8CE3BAC4F27B09D654DA14F52FBE15A0A85 "3rd Party Mac Developer Application: RAVIA SOFTWARE DI VILLANOVA DOMENICO ANTONIO (T9UD6J5HXZ)" (CSSMERR_TP_NOT_TRUSTED) ... The existing certificates all show the CSSMERR_TP_NOT_TRUSTED error and the signing command fails with errSecInternalComponent. **I have confirmed that the certificates are installed in my keychain, but they may be missing private keys or not fully trusted. Is there a possibility to reset my Apple Developer account’s Developer ID Application and Developer ID Installer certificates, so I can start fresh and generate new valid certificates? Could you please advise on how to proceed or if there is any way to clear the current certificate limit?** Thank you very much for your help.

The "com.apple.developer.web-browser" entitlement has no effect on our iOS app
Hi, I was sent here by Apple developer account, it seems here is the only option for me, so your help is very much appreciated! Basically we are building a chromium based browser on iOS, we applied the "com.apple.developer.web-browser" entitlement, and it shows up in our identifier, profile etc. The app is signed with the new entitlement and published to the app store. However it is not listed as an option for default browser, doesn't matter which device I tried. I did verified that the Info.plist contains http/https urlschemes as required. In fact a few of us checked all available documents multiple times and still couldn't see why.

Missing com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification Entitlement in Provisioning Profile
Hello Everyone, I am currently building an app using React Native with Swift bridging, integrating VoIP functionality using Twilio, PushKit, and CallKit. I am encountering the following issue during development: "The current provisioning profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement." What I’ve Done So Far: VoIP Certificate: I have created a valid VoIP Services certificate in the Apple Developer portal. Bundle Identifier and Provisioning Profile: A new Bundle ID was created specifically for this app. I created a provisioning profile for this Bundle ID and downloaded it for use in Xcode. Xcode Capabilities Push Notifications: Enabled Background Modes: Voice over IP: Enabled, Remote notifications: Enabled Entitlements File I have an entitlements file named VoiceCallDemoProjectRelease.entitlements with the following content: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>aps-environment</key> <string>development</string> <key>com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification</key> <true/> </dict> </plist> This entitlements file is properly linked in the project’s build settings. Project Setup I have integrated PushKit for VoIP push handling and CallKit for incoming call UI and control. Problem: In the Apple Developer portal under my App ID settings, I only see an option to enable Push Notifications. There is no option available to enable Voice over IP, and therefore the provisioning profile generated does not include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement. Despite enabling VoIP background mode in Xcode, adding the entitlement in my project, and using a valid VoIP certificate, the profile does not include the required entitlement. Additional Information: I am using an Individual Apple Developer Account, not an Organization account. I have already attempted re-downloading the provisioning profile, restarting Xcode, and cleaning the build folder. Question: What steps should I take to resolve this and ensure that the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement is included in my provisioning profile? Is this limitation due to the type of developer account (individual vs. organization), and do I need to upgrade to an Organization account to access this entitlement? Is there any way to request for 'com.appple.developer.voip-push-notification' entitlement to Apple Team ? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you.

Failed Qualification After Receiving Default Mail Capability
Hi Apple DTS & community folks, I’m reaching out regarding an issue we’ve encountered with the com.apple.developer.mail-client capability for our app (bundle identifier: so.notion.Mail). We were granted this entitlement last week to allow the app to be set as a default Mail client. While everything works as expected when archiving and distributing builds locally in Xcode, we’re running into a problem when using Xcode Cloud. Specifically, Xcode Cloud attempts to archive and distribute an Ad-Hoc build, but the Ad-Hoc provisioning profile does not include this special entitlement. Since we’re using Xcode-managed profiles, we don’t have the ability to create or adjust an explicit profile ourselves. This issue only arises in Xcode Cloud—local distribution works unless we explicitly attempt an Ad-Hoc build (which is not our intent). I’ve included a screenshot of the error for reference. We found this forum post describing the same issue, where the resolution was Apple enabling the entitlement for Ad-Hoc builds. We’d like to request that Apple enable this capability for Ad-Hoc builds for the Notion Mail application so that Xcode Cloud distribution functions correctly. Thank you for your help!

Xcode Automatic Signing Fails with App Groups - Provisioning profile "Mac Team Provisioning Profile : com.example.testapp.mobile" doesn't support the App Groups capability.
Xcode automatic signing consistently fails for the macOS target when adding the App Groups capability, even though the Developer Portal is correctly configured. Error: Provisioning profile “Mac Team Provisioning Profile: com.example.testapp.mobile” doesn’t support the App Groups capability. Setup: • Bundle ID: com.example.testapp.mobile • App Group: $(TeamIdentifierPrefix)group.com.example.testapp.mobile Troubleshooting Steps Tried (None Helped): • Changed bundle identifiers and deleted/recreated them in the Developer Portal • Deleted and recreated App Groups • Removed and re-added the developer account in Xcode • Deleted all provisioning profiles from the system • Cleared Derived Data and Xcode caches • Even tried on a clean macOS system This setup used to work previously. The issue seems to have started after the Apple Developer account was renewed.

Exporting valid certificate as .p12
I have a valid Developer ID Certificate, I've used it to sign an app locally and send the app to other machines of my colleagues to make sure it works and does not get triggered by GateKeeper Now I want to automate the process of signing and notarization on github actions and so I want to export my certificate and upload it there. Initially I tried uploading both the Developer ID Certificate and the G2 CA both as .cer files encoded in base64. But apparently I need my certificate to be in .p12 format When I try to export it from keychain access the option to export as .p12 is disabled. So how can I do it ?

Developer ID Installer certificate location
I want to export Mac OS application out side App Store and I need to have Developer Id installer certificate to do the same. When I go to certificate section in developer portal - I only see option of Mac App Distribution Mac Installer Distribution Developer ID Application Does anyone know where I can check the Developer ID installer part. Developer ID application doesn't work for signing the app manually.
