Build input file cannot be found
Hi! When I run my project on a real device (iPhone 15 Pro), I encounter the following error: Build input file cannot be found: '/Users/Interexy/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/SinglePhotoBook-geecnphrjebsisdmhcyzlsefvphm/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/SinglePhotoBook.app/SinglePhotoBook'. Did you forget to declare this file as an output of a script phase or custom build rule which produces it? How can I solve this? I've already reinstalled Pods and cleaned DerivedData a million times, but the issue persists. Xcode: Version 15.4

Most useless Xcode error message ever
Neither a google search, nor a search of the Apple forums give me a clue as to how to locate or fix the following message I get from Xcode. CLIENT: Failure to determine if this machine is in the process of shutting down, err=1/Operation not permitted This error message came from attempting to build and execute an iOS App which ran just fine the last time I built it. Now, that was actually a little over two years ago. This is an iOS app, which I've run successfully for more than a year on macOS, and that, "My Mac (Designed for iPad)", is what my build target for this run was. Any ideas? Anyone? If this is a "known condition", just why doesn't a friendly internet search or a search of the Apple forums NOT tell me what it means, or what causes the message. Of course, I've upgraded the OS a few times, and updated Xcode as well, but have just not had any time to monkey around with my pet code project. Now that I've gotten some time, and I want to see what's new since March of '23, I finally remember where I stashed my code repository and decided to take it for a spin. Sure, I expect(ed) to see Xcode tell me that the version of Swift has been updated, and maybe some code constructs need to be fixed. But, NO, the code compiles fine. The first build attempt told me that I needed to update my provisioning profiles, and sign-in and agree to the updated developer agreements, which I did. Not so unhelpful was the code window in the debugger: libswiftCore.dylib`swift_willThrow: -> 0x1aeb7b2a0 <+0>: pacibsp 0x1aeb7b2a4 <+4>: str x19, [sp, #-0x20]! 0x1aeb7b2a8 <+8>: stp x29, x30, [sp, #0x10] 0x1aeb7b2ac <+12>: add x29, sp, #0x10 0x1aeb7b2b0 <+16>: adrp x8, 365651 0x1aeb7b2b4 <+20>: add x8, x8, #0x88 ; _swift_willThrow 0x1aeb7b2b8 <+24>: ldapr x8, [x8] 0x1aeb7b2bc <+28>: cbnz x8, 0x1aeb7b2cc ; <+44> 0x1aeb7b2c0 <+32>: ldp x29, x30, [sp, #0x10] 0x1aeb7b2c4 <+36>: ldr x19, [sp], #0x20 0x1aeb7b2c8 <+40>: retab 0x1aeb7b2cc <+44>: mov x0, x21 0x1aeb7b2d0 <+48>: mov x19, x21 0x1aeb7b2d4 <+52>: blraaz x8 0x1aeb7b2d8 <+56>: mov x21, x19 0x1aeb7b2dc <+60>: b 0x1aeb7b2c0 ; <+32> Still not much to go on. I decide to see if it was a macOS vs. iOS issue, so did a clean build folder and tried running on an iPad simulator, "iPad (10th generation)". Now, I have a blank white screen on my simulator and not much to go on in the code window. import SwiftUI @main struct JottoApp: App { Thread1: Breakpoint 1.1 var body: some Scene { WindowGroup { ContentView() } } init() { UITableView.appearance().backgroundColor = UIColor.clear } } Any and all help with this error message will be appreciated.

In-App Purchase Popup Dialog Not Appearing
Hi - I've added in-app purchases (Quarterly and Yearly ) to my app and submitted it for TestFlight. The app is available, but in my Developer account, the in-app purchases section still shows the products as 'Waiting for Review.' When I test the app for in-app purchase, the dialog does not appear. Is this issue of "Approval" of the in-app purchase product? If YES, how can I get approval for these in-app purchase products? FYI: I have attached a screenshot of the in-app purchase products. Please suggest Thanks, Sushil

Entitlements Issue: Fonts Provided by Application Still Showing as Missing in Xcode
Hi everyone, I’ve been struggling with an issue related to the com.apple.developer.fonts-provided-by-application entitlement in Xcode. Despite configuring everything correctly, I’m still encountering an error stating that the fonts provided by application are missing. Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve done so far: Entitlements File: My entitlements file includes the com.apple.developer.fonts-provided-by-application key set as an array with 28 font items listed (e.g., Lato-Bold.ttf, Montserrat-SemiBold.ttf, etc.). All font names match the actual filenames, including extensions, and are spelled correctly. Info.plist: I’ve listed all the fonts under the UIAppFonts key, and they match the entries in the entitlements file. Font Files in Xcode: All font files are present in my project and included in Build Phases > Copy Bundle Resources. Provisioning Profile: The Fonts capability is enabled in my App Identifier in the Apple Developer Program, and I’ve regenerated my provisioning profile to ensure it reflects this entitlement. What’s Working: Other entitlements in the entitlements file (like keychain access and sandboxing) are functioning correctly, so the entitlements file is linked properly to my app target. The provisioning profile shows everything else is in sync. What’s Not Working: Xcode consistently shows the error "missing fonts provided by application", even though I’ve verified the fonts, file paths, and plist entries multiple times. Questions: Could this issue be related to the placement of the fonts folder within my project structure? Do I need to remove unused fonts or adjust file extensions (like .ttf vs .otf)? Is there another step I might be missing in Xcode or the Apple Developer Program? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. This has been a challenging problem to resolve, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has encountered something similar.

can't get Xcode not to build x86_64 for Swift Packages
I'm trying to improve my build time on macOS by not building for x86_64. I've got the following settings: This gets Xcode not to build x86_64 for my app, but not all the package dependencies. I've updated most of the packages to swift-tools-version: 6.0 but FlatBuffers is still on 5.8 and .macOS(.v10_14). GPT claims: If your deployment target is set to macOS 10.15 or earlier, Xcode may force x86_64 support for compatibility reasons. But Xcode is building x86_64 for ALL my packages, even the ones that don't depend on FlatBuffers. When I open a package in Xcode that depends on FlatBuffers, then it builds arm only, so that may be a red herring. Not sure what else to try.

Classic Linker error after renaming project
We are renaming the project and a Static Library the is critical to the operation on the app is not found during compiling. We have the same project working fine. We have reviewed the project.pbxproj file and searched for erroneous linking, reviewed the Target settings and there is nothing obviously wrong. (Copied and secured the original) Typically workflow is: Clean Delete Derived Data dir D/l Swift Packages Build/Run The team has many years using Xcode / Swift and the project and this is not clear how to resolve. We have scoured SO and the solutions do not apply. Facts: -No cocoapods -Search Paths all set Linker all set Thoughts?

Latest Xcode build giving multiple system level errors
with the latest Xcode version, i am getting all kinds of errors: few main ones: /Users/akashbhatia/MyApp/ios/Pods/Target Support Files/ReactCodegen/ReactCodegen-prefix.pch:2:9 Could not build module 'UIKit' /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator18.4.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/CFNetwork.framework/Headers/CFNetwork.h:18:10 Could not build module 'CoreFoundation' /Users/akashbhatia/MyApp/ios/Pods/Headers/Public/RCT-Folly/folly/portability/Config.h:20:10 'folly/folly-config.h' file not found I have reinstalled Xcode, removed derived data, installed pod over and over again, but I have realized from the first error here, that it has more to do with Xcode and React Native now. Any help will be appreciated.

Why can't I see the version I built on TestFlight
After developing the IOS app using XCode, I https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/identifiers/list Created Identifiers (HanBaoAI) and locally created Certificate SigningRequest.certSigningRequest https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/certificates/list Created Certificates (Expiry Date 2026/04/21) and also created profiles (HanBaoAI, Expires 2026/04/21), and then https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/apps I created an app (HanBaoAI) and uploaded it to the official website using Product Archive in xcode. The upload was successful, but the official website's testflight showed 1 (processing). When I refreshed the page, there was no information in testflight. May I ask what the reason is? How to solve it? Please provide complete and detailed solution steps.

Xcode crashes when "Build Phases" -> "Copy Files" -> "Copy only when installing" checkbox gets clicked
I've got a very simple command-line Swift project that contains a couple of OpenGL shader source files. They need to be accessed at run-time in order to be compiled and linked. For initial debugging, I hard-coded the absolute path to their location in the Xcode project directory, but I switch back and forth between two machines (MacBook Pro and Mac Studio) for which the project paths are different, so this doesn't work well. To solve this, I thought I could get Xcode to copy the shader sources over with the executable file at build time. I'm aware that technically, command-line apps have no resource bundle, but the "Build Phases" -> "Copy Files" section of the project configuration isn't disabled for my project, so I assumed that it could handle this. I added the two shader source files to the set of files to copy, via the "+" button, and set the Destination to "Products Directory". I left the "Subpath" field blank. AFAICT, nothing happens: the "Products/Debug" sub-directory of "~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/..." has the executable, but neither of the shader sources. In fact, they don't appear anywhere inside ~/Library/Developer/Xcode. Okay, perhaps I need to uncheck "Copy only when installing" in the project config? Sadly, as soon as I click to uncheck it, Xcode crashes, even if that's the very first thing I do immediately after Xcode restarts. FWIW, I'm running Xcode 16.2 on a late 2019 MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.6.1, but I'm pretty sure I've experienced the problem on my 2024 Mac Studio as well.

XCode Error Code: Failed to Save
I have a Mac Mini (M4) running macOS Sequoia 15.3.1. I very recently downloaded and installed the current version of XCode from the app store. I have not added any extensions - it's a vanilla, un-customized, un-enhanced installation. I have two user profiles (accounts) on my Mac: one Administrator and one Standard, each using a different apple account. I am using the Standard user account to learn XCode. When I attempt to set up a project, I get an error message when Xcode initially tries to save the (provided) project template file. The error states: "Failed to save Project2.xcodeproj. The backing file has been modified outside of XCode." I am using a NAS drive to store my project file. I have also tried saving it to the Desktop. It makes no difference to the error wherever the file is being saved. Similarly, I tried changing the Standard user account to an Administrator account to see if it was a privileges problem. Again, it made no difference to the error message. (So I changed the account back to a Standard user). I have tried googling the error but I only find references to problems related to extension/add-in products to XCode: none of which have I added to my XCode installation. I am attaching screenshots of the steps through the project creation process. Hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong or what the problem is. Thank you.

UIButton
After setting the title for the button and changing the font of the title, an inner margin appears on the button itself. How to remove this inner margin? It doesn't occur on the simulator, but this phenomenon exists on the 17.6 mobile phone.

Is Image rendering allowed inside ActivityReportExtension
Versions XCode version: 16.2 iOS version: 17.0 Background I am trying to generate a QR code inside the ActivityReportExtention which encoded the FamilyActivitySelection information. The code is roughly: Question Can I create Image inside the ActivityReportExtension? I cannot even render a simple image (not QR code) inside the extension. How can I debug inside the extension? Logs of the extension are not shown in the console. Code A function to generate QR Code import CoreImage import UIKit func generateQRCode(from string: String) -> UIImage? { let data = string.data(using: .ascii) guard let filter = CIFilter(name: "CIQRCodeGenerator") else { return nil } filter.setValue(data, forKey: "inputMessage") filter.setValue("Q", forKey: "inputCorrectionLevel") // Q for medium quality guard let outputImage = filter.outputImage else { return nil } // Scale the QR code image so it looks clear on screen let transform = CGAffineTransform(scaleX: 10, y: 10) let scaledImage = outputImage.transformed(by: transform) // Create a CIContext and generate a CGImage from the CIImage let context = CIContext() if let cgImage = context.createCGImage(scaledImage, from: scaledImage.extent) { return UIImage(cgImage: cgImage) } else { return nil } } Inside ActivityReportExtension sandbox: struct LineChartView: View { var body: some View { VStack { if let qrImage = generateQRCode2(from: "this is a test") { Image(uiImage: qrImage) .resizable() .scaledToFit() .frame(width: 200, height: 200) } else { Text("QR Code generation failed") } } } }

Xcode is is throwing error when I run my Unity Build
When I try to build my project in Xcode (from Unity AR) project, it throws me these errors: I feel like I've tried everything to make the LaunchScreen work. I downloaded xcode the night I tried running this build, so the whole deleting and redownloading and restarting everything didn't work. I've tried making sure my macbook and terminal are fully up to date. I literally can't find a solution! Please help!! I will also say, I'm fairly new to App building, Xcode, and Unity. But this does seem like a barrier that is stopping me from testing my project.
