Subscription Cancellation
Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

cant test in app purchases without it defaulting to family sharing request
hi, when i test an in app purchase with my sandbox acount i get: "ask permission. a request to buy ** will be sent to your parent or gardian (environment: sandbox)" When i made the sandbox account, i didnt see any option to set my age. What am i missing here, I dont seem to be able to fully test in app purchases since my sandbox accounts always defualt to this family sharing thing? Thanks

SKAN / AdAttributionKit Development Postback Not Triggering
We’re testing SKAN postbacks via AdAttributionKit but aren’t receiving any requests on our server even after generating development impressions and triggering a postback. Implementation of IAP -> Trial Period to Purchase Product
I would like to know if it is allowed to offer the user to either unlock the app immediately or partake in a 3-day trial period before making a purchase. I created 2 IAP non-consumable products; 1 for the immediate [which is at a discount] and for the after trial period ends [this is at a higher cost]. Is this something that Apple allows or is frowned upon?

InApp purchases ok and ko at the same time (?!)
I'm working on an app the has implemented inapp purchases. They have been working so far, and they keep working currently. But just a couple of days ago, a specific user sent us a support ticket stating that when he purchases and item the bank charges it for the purchase, but within the app, the purchase fails and he doesn't receive the item. He sent us screenshots showing: The iOS native modal when a purchases has been finished correctly ("You're all set - Your purchase was successful "). Right after that modal, the app shows an internal modal showing "The purchase failed, please, try again later". Checking the app logs, that failure modal was triggered by "The operation couldn’t be completed. (StoreKit.StoreKitError error 1.)". Reading docs about this error leads me to think about device or user restrictions (parental controls, usage limits, etc...). It seems that in theses cases the bank charge could be issued but refunded later once Apple ultimately declines the purchase. However the user says that he doesn't have any kind of restriction. The only related thing is a "this device is also restricted by a profile" message, but everyone seems to have this message. What could it be causing this issue? In what scenariowould the app show a native OK modal but a storekit error 1? I'm pretty sure the app is well configured because I keep receiving purchases of all kind, from different users with any problem.

SubscriptionStoreView - Restoring Subscriptions
I'm using code similar to the following to conditionally show the SubscriptionStoreView and the .storeButton(.visible, for: .restorePurchases) modifier is used to allow the user to restore an existing subscription. How can I listen for events that would allow me to close this view once the subscription is restored? The .onInAppPurchaseCompletion closure does not handle this and it also appears that listening for results in Transaction.currentEntitlements also doesn't handle the fact that a subscription is restored. Any guidance on how to determine if the subscription has been restored would be greatly appreciated. Screen Rocorder plus Front Camera
I want to build an app for ios using react native. preferably expo. The app will be for recording user experiences with technology. the SLUDGE that they face while navigating through technology. I want to have basic login, signup. The main feature would be to have 2 recording modes. First is record the screen and the front camera simultaneously. Second is to record the back camera and the front camera simultaneously. I can then patch the two outputs later on that is the screen recording and the front camera clip in post processing. I want to know if this is possible as I was told that react native and expo does not have the support yet. if not is there any library or another approach to make this app come alive.

subscriptionPeriod.unit returns both .week AND .day for weekly subscriptions?
After creating a new weekly subscription option, I get inconsistent results for subscriptionPeriod. In local testing with a synced or a un-synced StoreKit file I am getting unit == .week (as expected) whereas in TestFlight I am getting unit == .day. This makes unit.localizedDescriptionsomewhat unusable in the paywall. Am I missing something? Or is this bug or a limitation of StoreKit and/or TestFlight and/or newly created subscription options? Show Price Increase Consent
I'm currently still on StoreKit 1, and am testing the paymentQueueShouldShowPriceConsent delegate function. In my local .storekit file, I have a renewable subscription set up with a promotional offer. My test flow is as follows: User subscribes to renewable subscription Let subscription auto-renew once or twice User subscribes to renewable subscription with promotional offer with significant price reduction Promotional offer lapses and price increases to normal Expect paymentQueueShouldShowPriceConsent delegate function to trigger However, #5 never does get invoked, despite re-trying the subscription and promotional offers in various configurations. Manually triggering the Request Price Increase Consent option in the Xcode StoreKit transactions list does invoke the delegate function, but letting the promotional offer lapse does not. My storefront is set to Korea, and my simulator region is set to Korea as well. According to the documentation here and here, consent is required for all price increases in Korea. Is there some way I could check if things are working as intended?

Adding In-App Purchase to app + review required?
I'm trying to understand the IAP development process. I created my first Product on App Store Connect and am trying to build my app to use it. However it keeps failing with "Invalid product ID.". From what I've read, this is because the product has not yet gone through review. But what I don't understand is, of course it hasn't gone through review yet, because trying to use it in any capacity fails, even though I'm using a real physical device and using a Sandbox User. Is this the correct workflow? It seems very backwards that I have to submit the product for review, even before I know how it's going to be used. I'm still building the screen for the product page, and haven't even started touching any backend APIs, yet it's asking for screenshots. Am I misunderstanding something here?

No notification on declined pending transaction
I'm working on adding a single Non-Consumable In-App purchase to my app. Essentially a "try before you buy" type thing. Limited functionality unless the app is purchased. I am currently testing this using Xcode and the Manage StoreKit Transactions window. So far most everything appears to be working except for declined pending transactions. If I set Ask to Buy to Enabled, the Ask Permission (for parent or guardian) dialog appears. After pressing the Ask button, I see a transaction listed as Pending Approval. If I Approve the transaction, then my app is notified and all is well. However, if I Decline the transaction then my app is not notified. Is that normal? Also, how do I (i.e. the app) know that there is a pending transaction?

Unexpected Change in Apple Refund Handling CONSUMPTION_REQUEST - Impact on Subscription App with AI Backend
We offer a 3-day free trial, and our paywall clearly states that users will be charged after the trial ends. However, some users request refunds after the charge - even after fully using our app for days or even weeks. In some cases, refunds are approved despite the users having consumed our AI processing services for up to a month. Since our app relies on backend AI processing, each user session incurs a real cost. To prevent losses, we utilize RevenueCat’s CONSUMPTION_REQUEST system and have set our refundPreference to: "2. You prefer that Apple declines the refund". Until recently, Apple typically respected this preference, and 90% of refund requests were declined as intended. However, starting about a week ago, we observed a sudden reversal: Apple is now approving around 90% of refund requests, despite our refund preference. As a result, we are operating at a loss and have had to halt both our marketing campaigns and our 3-day free trial. We’re trying to understand whether this shift is due to a change in Apple’s refund policy, or if we need to handle CONSUMPTION_REQUEST differently on our end. Has anyone else experienced similar changes? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

StoreKit Product Request Times Out in TestFlight (macOS) Despite Successful Server Connection

Why can't the app get the subscription status occasionally?
Hi, I have developed an app which has two in-app purchase subscriptions. During the test, the app can successfully get the status of the subscriptions. After it's released, I downloaded it from app store and subscribed it with my apple account. I found that in most cases, the app can identify that I have subscribed it and I can use its all functions. But yesterday, when I launched it again, it showed the warning that I haven't subscribed it. I checked my subscription in my account and the subscription status hasn't been changed, that is, I have subscribed it. And after one hour, I launched it again. Guidance on Migrating Active Subscriptions from Apple Server Notifications v1 to v2

Our live application has a significant number of active recurring subscriptions that are being managed through the v1 webhook integration. We have now developed a revamped version of our application, which uses the same Apple Developer Account and App Store Connect setup, but in this new app version, we’ve implemented App Store Server Notifications version 2 (v2). Before moving forward with the migration, I would like to clarify the following points to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruptions to ongoing subscriptions: Backward Compatibility: Will existing active subscriptions (originally created and managed via v1 notifications) continue to work seamlessly once we switch to v2, or do we need to maintain both v1 and v2 endpoints during the transition? Notification Delivery: If both webhook versions are configured simultaneously, will Apple send notifications to both endpoints, or only the one currently configured in App Store Connect? Migration Strategy: What is Apple’s recommended best practice for migrating from v1 to v2 in a scenario where the live app still has active subscriptions tied to the v1 webhook?
