iPadOS 26 Dev Beta 1 - need to do a restore via DFU mode. I made sure iPad in normal mode shows up in Finder and I can see device details. When I boot into DFU mode (I have kept the ipad connected to mac), it does not show up in Finder. No matter what combination of plugging/unplugging cables, rebooting, again into DFU mode, it will not show up in Finder. Looking for steps to resolve this, or do I need to wait until beta 2 to resolve this?

I’d like to create a button on my iPhone Home Screen that changes settings if I am using an external lens mounted to my phone. This is what I have along with notes on what I hope to do. But it does not work. I am only able to open either the camera settings or the camera preserve settings but nothing will toggle macro controls. There is an additional step within the camera app as well but it can be skipped for brevity. Name: Telephoto and macro lenses Check if macro settings are already enabled or not. Maybe a bit of a simplistic question, but…. Best ways to create music - programmatically - within an app? I have a few small, simple games that I would like to add some background music to. I’ve fiddled with AVAudio, SKAudio, and now AudioKit. I’m just not quite finding the holy grail of music generation. I don’t know if it’s more technique or tool. So I thought I’d hit up the pool of minds here for some suggestions…?

I upgraded my macOS to 13.7.5 and since then I cannot open Adobe InDesing on my iMac. I contacted Adobe Support to assist with the issue and they couldn't find any solution from their side. Probably the update is not compatible? Is there a way I can solve this issue? Or remove the beta version from my system?

I am trying to add a custom domain to my iCloud+ Mail however when I try to add its main user/email address I get an error saying that the email is already in use with another apple account. After this I checked the duplicate account and since I had forgotten the password I reset it and logged in. Then I followed the instructs on https://support.apple.com/en-in/102283 to permanently delete my account. This request was initiated on 8 Feb 2025 but I received the final email that all my data had successfully been deleted from Apple's servers on 25 Feb 2025. Despite Apple's confirmation that my account had been deleted successfully, I am still unable to use that email address to create an iCloud+ Mail account, even after waiting a whole month! This is very frustrating. I contacted Apple support via chat and phone and after more than 30 mins of back and forth they instructed me to contact Developer Support which I did two days ago (case ID is 102546369564) still no response. I have been trying since January to get myself enrolled in the Apple Developer program. I’ve called customer support, I’ve sent emails, I’ve plead and begged and no avail. First I registered and I was not aware there would be such a steep price point. I couldn’t afford it so I got these emails — then later when I try to re-enroll, it asks me to verify my identity, which I did with my state issued id. So it says I can’t continue. I email and ask why and get this back.. So I call and someone named Mallory who assures me she’s the highest point of escalation under Steve Jobs tells me there is nothing anyone can do, she can’t tell me why it’s not allowed but it’s just not and I’m screwed, then hangs up on me and sends this - and my most recent attempts to continue support just get met with a “We can’t cont your enrollment at this time for one or more reasons”. So I have decided to post every day, every where, as much as possible until someone from Apple corrects this. I can’t seem to get help otherwise.

Hi, Am using fastlane to upload into TestFlight. Am able to successfully upload the build without any issues. For Testing Internally , I want to upload the build into App Store Connect but I should restrict it on submitting to App Store. ( This is possible when i distribute the app via TestFlight Internal Only from XCode -> Organizer -> Distribute App (Select option with TestFlight Internal Only). I want to achieve the same using either Transporter/ fastlane. I tried setting buildAudienceType to INTERNAL_ONLY as per https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreconnectapi/buildaudiencetype but it is not working. Can you suggest how i can achieve this via fastlane?

Our app provides configuration and maintenance features for Siemens electrical devices. The app supports multiple devices and the devices have their own specific features, which also need to be supported by our App. The devices can be released to the market only when our app supports those features. Our app release timeline is once in every 4 months. We face a challenge when some of these devices are not able to deliver their features by our release time. So, we would like to make these devices plugins, which can be independently released, without releasing the App every time. The app would, of course, be released once in every 4 months, depending on the common features. I'm not able to find how to release only the plugins within the app, without releasing the entire app. Some one has suggested app extensions, but that does not fit our solution as in some cases, we need continuous polling of data from one or mode devices for minutes or hours, as the app can be used by the user to monitor some of the device values.

Is it normal to wait a month and a half with no resolution to an account issue? I paid for a membership years ago and never used it. Recently, I've wanted to get a developer account again but there is a problem when I try to Enroll. It tells me "You cannot enroll at this time". I created a support ticket and have been checking in every couple weeks. They just keep saying they haven't heard anything. The lack of support is dissappointing.

Hi Everyone, I’m currently working on a flow where a web page redirects to our app to perform certain actions, and then returns the user back to the browser. However, on iOS, the only way to go back to the browser is by using the openURL method. The issue is that this method can only open the browser app itself—it can’t control which tab or page is shown, so the user doesn’t return to the original tab they came from. The same limitation also applies to Android. Furthermore, iOS doesn’t allow an app to programmatically return to the previous app (in this case, the browser). While Android doesn’t have an official way either, in some cases, the OS automatically returns to the previous app when ours is closed. I’d like to ask: Is there any known method or workaround that allows returning from my app back to Safari (or the default browser) and restoring the previously active web page or tab? Or, is there any way to programmatically return to the previous app from within my app? Thanks in advance for your support!

While on ios26 beta2 i changed my battery for an aftermarket one. Phone cannot be charged anymore, battery status 1%. So it reboots. had to replace oem battery to make local backup, to revert to ios18. and have aftermarket battery to work again.

I have more than five tabs in a TabView, and on some screens, I'm seeing a navigation bar with the title "More". I understand that this is the default behavior of TabView when there are more than five tabs—iOS automatically creates a "More" screen. I've set navigationBarHidden = true throughout my app, but the navigation bar still appears on some screens within the "More" section. Is there another way to hide the moreNavigationController or completely remove the navigation bar from the "More" screen?

I've got the initial WWDC beta of macOS 26 (25A5279m) installed inside a virtual machine (UTM), but can't seem to update to the second beta. Nothing is showing up within Software Update. Is this because it's within a VM, or am I doing something wrong? It'd be a real pain to have to install a new VM afresh with the RestoreImage for every update.
