Hello,
I recently submitted my Swift Student Challenge app playground and realized after submission that I accidentally selected Swift Playgrounds as the software to run it, instead of Xcode 26 or later.
My project builds and runs successfully in Xcode 26 using the iOS 26 SDK and simulator. However, when opening the same .swiftpm project in the Swift Playgrounds app on iPad, it does not compile because Swift Playgrounds currently only supports up to iOS 18 SDK and does not support iOS 26 APIs.
The submission itself is complete, builds correctly in Xcode, and was submitted before the deadline. The incorrect selection of Swift Playgrounds was an honest mistake during the submission process.
I wanted to ask whether reviewers are able to run the submission using Xcode 26 in cases like this, or if there is anything I should do.
Thank you very much for your time.

Facial recognition is not working with the glasses. I tried to do a new recognition with the glasses, and it's giving a direct error. Is anyone having the same problem?
Steps to Reproduce
make an outbound call
cover the sensor
Actual Behavior
the screen won't go dark
device iOS Result
iphone15 17 Pass
iphone14p 18.0.1 Pass
iphoneXs_pro max 18.1.1 Pass
iphone13pro max 18.2.1 Pass
iphone16pro 18.2 Fail
iphone15pro max 18.3 Fail
iphone12 pro max 18.3 Fail
ps: Skype has the same probelm
Seems like this issue only happens on iOS18.2+ on some devices, so is there a bug for this?
I am building my app for iPhone users generally, and realized that maybe I should have had the iPad in mind since I read somewhere that the submissions will be judged on iPad. Should I be testing and tweaking on iPad now or can it be somehow ran on iPhone?

Hi all,
I’m running into a persistent build issue with my Swift project ORSOFINAL after migrating from Xcode stable to Xcode-beta.app (June 2025 version).
⸻
💥 Errors displayed:
1. C99 was enabled in PCH file but is currently disabled
2.
module file .../ModuleCache.noindex/SwiftShims-AXUM98L131W4...pcm
cannot be loaded due to a configuration mismatch with the current compilation
3. missing required module 'SwiftShims'
⸻
🛠 What I’ve already tried:
• xcode-select -s /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer
• Deleted ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData, ModuleCache.noindex, Archives, and Products
• Ran sudo xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch
• Clean Build Folder in Xcode-beta
• Verified Command Line Tools setting points to Xcode-beta
⸻
❓Looking for guidance on:
• Whether this is a known bug in Xcode-beta
• If SwiftShims/PCM conflicts are expected between versions
• Best practices to safely migrate from Xcode stable to beta for Swift-based projects
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mathéo

I have a question about the full-time employment eligibility requirement for the Swift Student Challenge 2026.
The rules state that applicants cannot be "employed full time as a developer" at the time of submission. My situation is a bit nuanced: I work as a software engineer at a company, but my contract explicitly distinguishes between summer and school year employment. During the summer I work full-time, but during the school year my hours are part-time and flexible, and therefore not a fixed schedule.
Since the submission deadline is February 28th, I would be submitting during the school year, at which point I am not working full-time.
My question: Does the eligibility rule apply strictly to full-time hours at the time of submission, or does being employed in a developer role at all (even part-time during the school year) disqualify me?
I set iOS 26 to install overnight, put my iPhone 16 Pro on the MagSafe charger, watched it charge just fine, and went to sleep. When I woke up the iPhone showed the “plug into power” dead battery screen. I took it off MagSafe and put it back on. A half hour later the phone was warm but still wouldn’t power on, just showed the battery screen with a little red in it. I took it off MagSafe and plugged it into my iPad charging brick with USB cable to give it more power, still it did not turn on. I tried holding all the buttons to try to force a restart but didn’t work.
For anyone else encountering this, do this to enter DFU mode and restore it. I had to do it a few times before I got the timing right.
Plug into your Mac and open Finder (or apparently a PC with Apple Devices or iTunes)
Press and quickly release volume up
Press and quickly release volume down
Press and hold right side button
When the battery disappears and screen goes black, hold volume down and continue holding side button
After a couple seconds release the side button and continue holding volume down
A prompt to allow connecting to the iPhone should appear after a couple seconds, click Allow, and it’ll say the iPhone entered DFU mode - proceed to restore the firmware
Installation has completed login is successful but after 30 secs it returns to login screen
safe mode does the same. tried recovery mode and reinstalled. Still in the login loop.
what are my choices now?

Recently I've noticed that certain cursor actions cause the finger icon to appear with a gray box around it. It appears when I hover over other icons (for example, the menu items at the top of this website; Microsoft Teams options but not MS Word, etc.). Is this new? Is there a way to get rid of the box?

When I try to create a post in Apple Support Community, it forces me to create a new account (for some supersmart reason because my apple account is apparently not enough). In this process, I am required to pick a new username and choose my communications preferences. The next screen? 403 Forbidden Error page.

Hello,
i am currently running iOS 18.4 Public Beta (22E5232a) on an iPhone 16 Pro and i have problems with getting emails in the native mail app. i cannot receive any email from some of my email addresses. there is an “account error“ message that says:
“Cannot get mail, The connection to the server failed.”
When i enter my password again in settings it works for 1-2 days then stop working. On my iPhone X running iOS 16.7.10 it works perfectly. Only bugs on my iPhone 16 Pro.

After latest beta firmware update 11.4, the screen is non or less responsive. Right before the update everything was working like a charm.
Tried unpairing, total reset as a new watch, but nothing solves the problem

Hi everyone,
I am writing this out of extreme frustration as I have been unable to complete my Apple Developer enrollment for nearly four weeks. My Enrollment ID is LT5A4XR4UF.
I started this process on January 1st. On January 18th, I received an email from Apple stating that the developer team "must speak with me" to move forward. However, I am facing two major blockers that have brought the process to a complete standstill:
No Phone Option: When I go to the "Contact Us" page as instructed, there is no option for a phone call—only an email form. I cannot fulfill the request to "speak" with the team if no live channel is provided.
No Email Response: I have sent numerous emails over the last several days explaining this situation and providing my contact details, but Apple has not responded to any of them. It has been many days of total radio silence despite this being a time-sensitive enrollment.
Details:
Enrollment ID: LT5A4XR4UF
Region: New Zealand
Account Type: Orgnisation
Total Delay: 25 days and counting
Is there an Apple representative here who can look into why my case has been ghosted? Alternatively, if anyone knows a direct line or a specific time of day when the "Phone" button actually appears for New Zealand developers, please let me know.
I am eager to begin developing, but the lack of support is making it impossible to even get through the front door.
Thanks,
Anthony

Updated iPhone to 26 beta 2, everything is ok but battery, battery is changed, not original. My phone can't charge higher than 1% and turns off every 5 minutes, even connecting to wireless charger and cable at the same time don't work, restored iPhone thru iTunes.I hope I will be able to install new beta without any problems because loving the new design, hoping for the best. Thanks.
I have an app that was written in UIKit. It's too large, and it would be much too time consuming at this point to convert it to SwiftUI.
I want to incorporate the new limited contacts into this app. The way it's currently written everything works fine except for showing the limited contacts in the contact picker.
I have downloaded and gone though the Apple tutorial app but I'm having trouble thinking it through into UIKit. After a couple of hours I decided I need help.
I understand I need to pull the contact IDs of the contacts that are in the limited contacts list. Not sure how to do that or how to get it to display in the picker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
