Xcode cannot authenticate my account
I have been using Xcode 16.2 for a long time. I downloaded it from the developer site. I recently downloaded Xcode 16.3. I was offline on an airplane and I got an error authenticating my account. Since then, I have not been able to sign my apps. I was able to create a new app that worked but in my effort to resolve the problem, I deleted my account and now I cannot add it back. I was getting a "bad URL" error. Now I'm getting "Could not connect to the server." I sent an email to Apple Dev Support and they told me to download Xcode from the App Store. I did that and it gave me the same error. Is anyone else having this problem? If Apple Dev Support cannot resolve it, I don't know how I am going to.

CoreBluetooth Scan not working when OS upgraded to 18.3.1
Hi, I currently have an app that connect to an arduno via CoreBluetooth. However, the app no longer discovers the arduino when the operating system was upgraded to iOS 18.3.1, however on iOS version 17.6.1 the ardiuno was discoverable I was able to test this theory on two different phones each with different iOS versions. Why are my peripherals no longer being discovered with this update? and what is the solution?

XCFrameworks deploying .a / include to output target directory
Hello Friends, We have a strange bug that Xcode is deploying static binaries from within .XCFramework into the CONFIGURATION_BUILD_DIR An example of our xcframeworks structure is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>AvailableLibraries</key> <array> <dict> <key>BinaryPath</key> <string>libglfw3.a</string> <key>HeadersPath</key> <string>Headers</string> <key>LibraryIdentifier</key> <string>macos-arm64_x86_64</string> <key>LibraryPath</key> <string>libglfw3.a</string> <key>SupportedArchitectures</key> <array> <string>arm64</string> <string>x86_64</string> </array> <key>SupportedPlatform</key> <string>macos</string> </dict> </array> <key>CFBundlePackageType</key> <string>XFWK</string> <key>XCFrameworkFormatVersion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> </plist> for open source creative coding toolkit https://github.com/openframeworks/openFrameworks Can you see any issues in the above. Some ideas for me is to generate xcarchive instead of deploying the .a in the xcframeworks, however that does not explain the include being packaged there, so I think this might be a Xcode issue

Non-deterministic xctestplan files
Working with .xctestplan files reminds me very much of working with project files and nibs and storyboards back in the day 😅 It seems that they are non-deterministic. This means that every time we add a new test module or edit the inclusion rules at all the whole file is recomputed. But it doesn't have a fixed order so everything in the file changes. It makes it very difficult to see what has happened in PR reviews and causes conflicts any time anything is changed. TBH... because it isn't alphabetical, even just finding a particular test suite is difficult without changes. Are there any plans to bring this file format up to date with the likes of xcodeproj and xib files? It would help massively while working with source control in a larger team. Thanks

Errors compiling C++ code for x86_64
I have a project (that uses pre-compiled headers) that uses different compiler options for SOME files. For those files I have this is in my CMakelists.txt: if(CMAKE_C_COMPILER_ID MATCHES "GNU|Clang") set_source_files_properties(${AVX_Files} PROPERTIES COMPILE_OPTIONS "-mavx;-mavx2;-mfma;-mssse3;-msse4.2") set_source_files_properties(avx_simd_check.cpp PROPERTIES COMPILE_OPTIONS "-mxsave") endif() When I build for ARM, it all works :) When I try to build for X86_64, I get the following error for avx_simd_check.cpp: error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+xsave' but the AST file was not 1 error generated. and for all the other files in question: error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+avx' but the AST file was not error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+avx2' but the AST file was not error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+fma' but the AST file was not error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+sse4.2' but the AST file was not error: current translation unit is compiled with the target feature '+ssse3' but the AST file was not 5 errors generated. How can I solve this please? David

Xcode 16 Build & Archive Error - SPM
Since upgrading from Xcode 15 to 16, we have been experiencing a build error during compilation. Building on Xcode 15 still works with no issues. The error happens only on the first build after a clean. Subsequent builds succeed. This is an issue because our CI process archives the project from a clean slate, and this causes it to fail every time. I will attempt to describe the issue and include information I believe is relevant in this document. The error occurs on this import line within an Objective-C file during the Scan Dependencies step of compiling. This line imports our custom Objective-C to Swift bridging header file - "Swift2Objc.h". Our custom Objective-C to Swift bridging header file is simply wrapping the project’s auto-generated Objective-C to Swift bridging header file - "KWISwift.h". The error is specific to the import of the OfflineServices Swift Package. Specifically, the OfflineServices-Swift.h file - the Swift Package’s auto-generated Objective-C to Swift bridging file. Module JRE not found - the exact error (Also included as text on the bottom of the post) JRE is a third-party library provided to us as an xcframework. It is placed directly into our Swift Package as a binary target. The xcframework itself is composed of .a file and a Headers folder which includes header files and a module.modulemap. The module.modulemap file looks like this.

App Not Appearing in "Available Apps" List in Watch App
I’ve developed an Apple Watch extension for an existing iOS app. When I run the app on the watch via Xcode using the simulator, everything works fine. However, when I try to install it on my iPhone, the Watch app doesn’t show it in the "Available Apps" list, so I can't install it on the watch. The Apple Watch is connected to my iPhone, and I can see other apps available for installation without any issues. I also created a brand new project with watchOS support to troubleshoot, but the same problem occurred. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Any way to automate adding libraries in Xcode from Swift Package Manager (SPM)?
Hi all, I’m looking for a way to automate the process of adding Swift Package dependencies (SPM) into an Xcode project. Right now, I’m doing this manually via: Xcode → Project → Swift Packages → Add Package Dependency... But I’d like to script this step — ideally as part of a CI/CD pipeline or a setup script. I explored the xcodeproj Ruby gem, but it doesn’t support adding SPM packages, and there's no official support for editing the .xcodeproj structure related to Swift Packages. So my question is: Is there any Apple-supported or community-supported way to programmatically add Swift Package dependencies to an Xcode project or workspace? Would love to know if anyone has: Used xcodebuild, xcodegen, or other tools for this Explored editing project files directly (like project.pbxproj or Package.resolved) Found any API or CLI hooks from Apple for this Thanks in advance!

How to run XCode 15.2 on Sequoia?
Hi, I have a project that is based on a GPL library. The GPL library has some issue since early 2024 that requires it to be run on XCode 15.2. Any XCode above 15.2 will only give you "Invalid MinimumOSVersion." and "Missing Info.plist value." errors. So I installed 15.2 again. But now I have another problem because it can only run on Ventura. How do I run XCode 15.2 on my Sequoia MacOS? I hate to reinstall the OS all again. Thank you.

Microphone is not being detected in Safari on iOS
What I am trying to do is very simple. Environment description: macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 iOS Simulator version 12.3 Target device iPhone 11 (iOS 13.2.2) Open Safari > go to website > mictests.com Result: "Could not find any media devices. It is very likely that your browser does not allow access to these devices." The Simulator does have access to the microphone. I can use Siri just fine. Only Safari cannot access the mic. I'm really stuck here, any ideas are welcome.

AppIcon not showing in "About" box or app switcher
I can't get my app's logo to show in the "About" box nor in the app switcher. I have: created "Assets.xcassets" created "AppIcon" added 10 image files of the logo to the AppIcon image well [? right terminology ?] saved and built the project – there are no errors or warnings When I run the project, I still get the default image showing in the About box and in the app switcher. Because first attempt failed, I changed "applet" to "AppIcon" in "App Icons and Launch Screen" in "General" settings. That did not change the result. I also toggled "Include all app icon assets" which also did not change the result. Weirdly, my app's logo DOES show beside the app name in every item of "Build Settings". Do I need to do something else to change the default image in the "About" box ? Thanks. [Xcode 16.2 on macOS 15.3.2.]

Trouble Translating a Second Word Using TranslationAPI
I’m developing an app to save words that users learn in a language they are studying. Here’s the basic workflow: Type a new word Add the new word Every time a word is added, it gets saved to a list that includes its meaning and the name of the language — useful when saving words in multiple languages Problem: For some reason, the “Add new word” button only works for the first word. The second word is not being added to the list. Here is my code: import SwiftUI import NaturalLanguage import Translation struct ContentView: View { @State private var inputWord: String = "" @State private var detectedLanguage: String? @State private var translationConfiguration: TranslationSession.Configuration? @StateObject private var viewModel = WordViewModel() var body: some View { VStack(spacing: 24) { // Input field TextField("Type a word in any language", text: $inputWord) .padding() .background(Color(.systemGray6)) .cornerRadius(10) // Button to translate and save Button("Add new word") { translateAndSave() } // .disabled(inputWord.trimmingCharacters(in: .whitespacesAndNewlines).isEmpty) .buttonStyle(.borderedProminent) // List of saved words Text("My Words") .font(.system(.title2)) List { ForEach(viewModel.words) { word in VStack(alignment: .leading, spacing: 4) { Text(word.inputWord) .font(.headline) Text(word.nativeTranslation) .font(.subheadline) .foregroundColor(.gray) Text(word.detectedLanguage.uppercased()) .font(.caption) .foregroundColor(.blue) } .padding(.vertical, 4) } } Spacer() } .padding() .animation(.easeInOut, value: detectedLanguage) // Automatically triggers translation when configuration changes .translationTask(translationConfiguration) { session in do { let response = try await session.translate(inputWord) viewModel.addWord( input: inputWord, native: response.targetText, detected: detectedLanguage ?? "Unknown" ) // Reset fields after saving inputWord = "" detectedLanguage = nil translationConfiguration = nil } catch { // Handle error print("Translation error: \(error.localizedDescription)") } } } // Function to detect language private func detectLanguage() { let recognizer = NLLanguageRecognizer() recognizer.processString(inputWord) if let code = recognizer.dominantLanguage?.rawValue { let name = Locale.current.localizedString(forIdentifier: code) detectedLanguage = name?.capitalized } else { detectedLanguage = "Unable to detect" } } // Function to prepare translation private func translateAndSave() { detectLanguage() translationConfiguration = TranslationSession.Configuration( source: nil, target: Locale.Language(identifier: "en") ) } } Question: Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

How to skip this warning to complete the build in Xcode?
Hi, When build our project on one Mac/Xcode, build got interrupt and failed, it state that "The signature of "xxxxxx.x-framework" cannot be validated and may have been compromised. Validation Error: The signing certificate has been revoked (CSSMERR_TP_CERT_REVOKED)" One strang thing is this build failed only on Xcode/mac, but the exact the project could be built successfully. So question here: How can skip this warning to make the project build successfully? More curious, how this interrupt only happened on one Xcode, while others are ok? Thanks, KK
