2 high scores vanished
In my game 854159268 (com.1791entertainment.qugame), in my quMostRecent3 leaderboard, the top 2 entries have 'vanished'. They were there yesterday. I know these players have played today, as I see their scores on other leaderboards. Any ideas how to get these back? These 2 players (me and my tester) are both TestFlight ing - not sure if that changes things.

Inquiry About Game Center Integration Analytics
Dear Apple Developer Support, I hope this message finds you well. I am a game developer looking to integrate Game Center into our game. Before proceeding, I would like to understand the analytical capabilities available post-integration. Specifically, I am interested in tracking detailed metrics such as: The number of new player downloads driven by Game Center features (e.g., friend challenges, leaderboards, or achievements). Data on user engagement and conversions originating from Game Center interactions. I have explored App Store Connect’s App Analytics but would appreciate clarification on whether Game Center-specific data (e.g., referrals from challenges or social features) is available to measure growth and optimize our strategies. If such data is accessible, could you guide me on how to view it? If not, are there alternative methods or plans to incorporate this in the future? Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response. Best regards, Bella

why GLDContextRec::flushContextInternal() leads to abort
The flushContextInternal function in glr_sync.mm:262 called abort internally. What caused this? Was it due to high device temperature or some other reason? How to use Unity Apple GameKit Plugin For Rule-based matchmaking?
Hello, **I'm Using ** Unity 6 LTS Unity Apple GameKit + Core plugins Turn-based matchmaking interface w/ 2 players max App Store Connect API for rule-based matchmaking I have already enabled game center in app store connect (I think) authenticated players and matched via friend request I am stuck Using queues to match players automatically I'm working on a rule-based matchmaking system which aims to place two players against each other into a GKTurnBasedMatch. I have a simple Unity Project that correctly authenticates a user and proceeds to send a matchmaking request. The matchmaking script utilizes the Unity plugins' GKTurnBasedMatchmakerViewController.Request(...) request function with a GKMatchRequest.Init() request configured with a QueueName equal to the App Store Connect API Queue I created. The queue I created is also linked to a ruleset with a very basic rule that checks if the properties contains a key called 'preference' that contains a string value for what side the player wants to play for this match. If during the matchmaking, the preferences between players are different, then the match is made and both players should join the match; each player gets to play the side they have chosen. I have my rule expression designed to just check if the preferences are not equal: requests[0].properties.faction_preference != requests[1].properties.faction_preference When I launch the game with two physical iPads and begin the matchmaking request, each player is immediately presented with two options: Invite a friend, or Start game The Problem: Inviting a friend works to get two players into a game, but queue seems to not matter, and clicking start game will just put the current player into its own match (no one joins). The Question: How do I get queue based matchmaking to work in Unity for a Turn-based match with only two players who are able to select the enemy side they want to play dictated by a rule that compares enemy play-side preferences? Resources I've used: Apple Unity GameKit Plugin: https://github.com/apple/unityplugins Matchmaking: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/gamekit/matchmaking-rules Multiplayer rulesets: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/gamekit/finding-players-using-matchmaking-rules

Why is depth/stencil buffer loaded/stored twice in xcode gpu capture?
I used xcode gpu capture to profile render pipeline's bandwidth of my game. Then i found depth buffer and stencil buffer use the same buffer whitch it's format is Depth32Float_Stencil8. But why in a single pass of pipeline, this buffer was loaded twice, and the Load Attachment Size of Encoder Statistics was double. Is there any bug with xcode gpu capture?Or the pass really loaded the buffer twice times?

RealityKit generates an excessive amount of logging
During regular use, RealityKit generates an excessive amount of internal logging that is not actionable by third party developers. When developing an iOS RealityKit/ARKit app, this makes the Xcode console challenging to use for regular work. (FB19173812) See screenshots below. Xcode does have an option for filtering out logging from specific SDKs, but enabling this feature to suppress the logging of RealityKit and related SDKs like PHASE is something developers have to do dozens of times each day. After a year of developing a RealityKit app, this process becomes frustrating. If SDKs like Foundation, UIKit, and SwiftUI generated as much logging as RealityKit and related SDKs, Xcode's console would be unusable. Is there any way to disable the logging of RealityKit and PHASE permanently? Thank you for any help you provide.

Game Center breaks "Kids games" Rules on iPadOS 26
I have several games on the app store which are setup as "For Kids" which means these games cannot have any way to access the outside world including the App Store. No problem. These games have worked fine for years until iOS 26. Now, all my updates are being rejected because the new version of Game Center running on iPadOS 26 has a way for people to exit the game and go to the App Store. I have no control over this since it's built into Game Center, and the app review folks want me to put a "parental gate" on it, but there's no way to do that because... well... it's in Game Center, not my code. So, I'm unable to update my apps because of this. Presumably, the existing versions on the app store still do this exact same thing, so my update isn't going to make any difference. Does anyone know of a way to make that crap at the top go away so this isn't an issue?

Metal fails to create PSO on AMD based GPUs
Hello, Shaders in our application is written using HLSL and we rely on Metal Shader Converter to convert DXIL to Metal IR. We ran into an issue that causes metal pipeline state creation to fail when vertex stage-in function is used on AMD GPUs. Here's the error reported by Metal in Xcode output: Compiler failed with XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INTERRUPTED XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INTERRUPTED MTLCompiler: Compilation failed with XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INTERRUPTED on 4 try. This error suggests an unexpected interruption in the connection. Possible reasons: a crash in the compiler service, termination by the OS due to resource constraints (e.g., jetsam), a timeout in the service, or an issue with IPC. Verify system stability and check the logs for more details. Compiler failed with XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INVALID XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INVALID MTLCompiler: Compiler encountered XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INVALID: failed to check-in, peer may have been unloaded: mach_error=10000003 (is the OS shutting down or process jetsammed?) Compilation failed due to an interrupted connection: XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INTERRUPTED. This error occurred after multiple retries. which seems to indicate a internal compiler error. I have a minimal repro here: https://github.com/kcloudy0717/metal_pso_fail/tree/main, simply follow the instructions in README.

Combining render encoders
When I take a frame capture of my application in Xcode, it shows a warning that reads "Your application created separate command encoders which can be combined into a single encoder. By combining these encoders you may reduce your application's load/store bandwidth usage." In the minimal reproduction case I've identified for this warning, I have two render pipeline states: The first writes to the current drawable, the depth buffer, and a secondary color buffer. The second writes only to the current drawable. Because these are writing to a different set of outputs, I was initially creating two separate render command encoders to handle the draws under each of these states. My understanding is that Xcode is telling me I could only create one, however when I try to do that, I get runtime asserts when attempting to apply the second render pipeline state since it doesn't have a matching attachment configured for the second color buffer or for the depth buffer, so I can't just combine the encoders. Is the only solution here to detect and propagate forward the color/depth attachments from the first state into the creation of the second state? Is there any way to suppress this specific warning in Xcode?

How can I assign priorities to my app’s GPU workloads?
My app has a number of heterogeneous GPU workloads that all run concurrently. Some of these should be executed with the highest priority because the app’s responsiveness depends on them, while others are triggered by file imports and the like which should have a low priority. If this was running on the CPU I’d assign the former User Interactive QoS and the latter Utility QoS. Is there an equivalent to this for GPU work?

How to Enable Game Mode
What is Game Mode? Game Mode optimizes your gaming experience by giving your game the highest priority access to your CPU and GPU, lowering usage for background tasks. And it doubles the Bluetooth sampling rate, which reduces input latency and audio latency for wireless accessories like game controllers and AirPods. See Use Game Mode on Mac See Port advanced games to Apple platforms How can I enable Game Mode in my game? Add the Supports Game Mode property (GCSupportsGameMode) to your game’s Info.plist and set to true Correctly identify your game’s Application Category with LSApplicationCategoryType (also Info.plist) Note: Enabling Game Mode makes your game eligible but is not a guarantee; the OS decides if it is ok to enable Game Mode at runtime An app that enables Game Mode but isn’t a game will be rejected by App Review. How can I disable Game Mode? Set GCSupportsGameMode to false. Note: On Mac Game Mode is automatically disabled if the game isn’t running full screen.

Distortion Artifacts on VisionOS When Rendering Opaque/Alpha Clipped Foliage in URP (Unity 6.0, Metal)
I'm running into a persistent visual issue while deploying a floral corridor scene to Apple Vision Pro using Unity 6.0 with URP and Metal. The issue only appears on the Vision Pro device — everything looks fine in the Unity Editor. Issue Description When the frame rate drops to around 60–70 FPS, noticeable distortion artifacts appear around the edges of foliage models. It seems like the background meshes (behind the plants) get warped and leak through the edges of the foliage. Although this is most visible around the leaves, even solid objects like standard URP wall or box models show distorted edges when the issue occurs. All the foliage uses Opaque or Alpha Clipping materials. Things I've Tried Changing the foliage materials to Transparent mode —distortion around edges disappears, but using Transparent for a large number of foliage assets is not ideal for performance or sorting complexity. Reducing the number of foliage objects — with only a few plants in the scene and the frame rate staying around 100 FPS, the distortion disappears. However, this isn’t a practical solution for a full environment. Possible Cause? I came across this note in the Unity documentation: "Ensure depth-buffer for each pixel is non-zero - on visionOS, the depth buffer is used for reprojection. To ensure visual effects like skyboxes and shaders are displayed beautifully, ensure that some value is written to the depth for each pixel." Could this be related to the issue? Is it possible that Alpha Clipping with low pixel coverage leads to some pixels not writing to the depth buffer, which then causes problems during Vision Pro’s reprojection or foveated rendering? However, even when I disable Alpha Clipping entirely, the distortion issue still persists, so it may not be solely caused by clipping itself. Project Setup Unity 6.0 (URP) Depth Texture: Enable Using Metal as the graphics backend Running on real Vision Pro hardware (not simulator) Any advice on how to avoid these distortion issues on Vision Pro would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RealityKit VideoMaterial renders pink on iOS 18
our app is live, and it appears that since the ios 18 update - the VideoMaterial renders pink / purple color instead of the video (picture attached). the audio is rendered properly. we found that it occurs on old devices: iPhone 11 & iPhone SE 2020. I've found this thread of Andy Jazz on stackoverflow: Steps to Reproduce: Create a plane for the video screen. Apply a VideoMaterial using AVPlayerItem. Anchor the model entity to an ARImageAnchor. Expected Outcome: The video should play as a material on the plane in RealityKit. Actual Outcome: On iOS 18, the plane appears pink, indicating the VideoMaterial isn’t applied. What I’ve Tried: -Verified the video URL is correct. -Checked that the AVPlayerItem and VideoMaterial are initialised correctly. -Ensured the AVPlayer is playing the video. I also tried different formats (mov / mp4 / m4v), and verifying that the video's status is readyToPlay. any suggestions?

PhotogrammetrySession fails with internal errors 4011 / 4012 when using iOS Object Capture (Area Mode) images
Hi all, I’m running into an issue when trying to reconstruct a 3D model using PhotogrammetrySession on macOS from a set of images captured via the iOS Object Capture sample app, specifically in Area mode. When I attempt to create the model from these images (using the raw Images/ folder exported directly from the capture session), I get the following errors: ERROR cv3dapi.pg: Internal error codes (2): 4011 4012 WARN cv3dapi.pg: Internal warning codes (1): 4507 Output error with code = -15 requestError: CoreOC.PhotogrammetrySession.Error.processError I use the "Images" directory directly exported from Object Capture with my iphone 12 pro max (has lidar) set to "area mode" in the object capture app here is an example heic image metadata from the sequence. heif-info Images/00044.869568833.HEIC MIME type: image/heic main brand: heic compatible brands: mif1, MiHE, MiPr, miaf, MiHB, heic image: 3024x4032 (id=49), primary tiles: 6x8, tile size: 512x512 colorspace: YCbCr, 4:2:0 bit depth: 8 thumbnail: 240x320 color profile: nclx alpha channel: no depth channel: yes size: 192x256 bits per pixel: 8 z-near: 1.173828 z-far: 2.552734 d-min: undefined d-max: undefined representation: uniform Z metadata: Exif: 960 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#CameraTrackingState: 4 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#CameraCalibrationData: 1015 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#ObjectTransform: 48 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#ObjectBoundingBox: 48 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#RawFeaturePoints: 832 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#PointCloudData: 23984 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#BundleVersion: 5 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#SegmentID: 4 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2024:ObjectCapture#SessionUUID: 36 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2024:ObjectCapture#CaptureMode: 4 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#Feedback: 4 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#WideToDepthCameraTransform: 48 bytes uri /tag:apple.com,2023:ObjectCapture#TemporalDepthPointClouds: 864026 bytes transformations: angle (ccw): 270 region annotations: none properties: camera intrinsic matrix: focal length: 2813.695557; 2813.695557 principal point: 1522.338502; 2002.843018 skew: 0.000000 camera extrinsic matrix: rotation matrix: -0.695 0.344 -0.632 0.007 -0.875 -0.483 -0.719 -0.340 0.606 Questions: • What do internal error codes 4011 and 4012 refer to? • Is there something specific about Area mode captures that require preprocessing before they’re compatible with PhotogrammetrySession? • Has anyone successfully reconstructed a model from an Area mode session using the stock Apple tools? How to Configure angularLimitInYZ for PhysicsSphericalJoint in RealityKit (Pendulum/Swing Behavior)
Hello RealityKit developers, I'm currently working on physics simulations in my visionOS app and am trying to adapt the concepts from the official sample Simulating physics joints in your RealityKit app. In the sample, a sphere is connected to the ceiling using a PhysicsRevoluteJoint to create a hinge-like simulation. I've successfully modified this setup to use a PhysicsSphericalJoint instead. The basic replacement works as expected: pin1 (attached to the sphere) rotates freely around pin0 (attached to the ceiling), much like a ball-and-socket joint should, removing all translational degrees of freedom. My challenge lies with the PhysicsSphericalJoint's angularLimitInYZ property. The documentation mentions that this property allows limiting the rotation around the Y and Z axes, defining an "elliptical cone shape around the x-axis of pin0." However, I'm struggling to understand how to specify these values to achieve a desired rotational limit. If I have a sphere that is currently capable of rotating 360 degrees around pin0 (like a free-spinning ball on a string), how would I use angularLimitInYZ to restrict its rotation to a certain height or angular range, preventing it from completing a full circle? Specifically, I'm trying to achieve a "swing" like behavior where the sphere oscillates back and forth but cannot rotate completely overhead or underfoot. What values or approach should I use for the angularLimitInYZ tuple to define such a restricted pendulum-like motion? Any insights, code examples, or explanations on how to properly configure angularLimitInYZ for this kind of behavior would be incredibly helpful! The following code is modified from the sample. extension MainView { func addPinsTo(ballEntity: Entity, attachmentEntity: Entity) throws { let hingeOrientation = simd_quatf(from: [1, 0, 0], to: [0, 0, 1]) let attachmentPin = attachmentEntity.pins.set( named: "attachment_hinge", position: .zero, orientation: hingeOrientation ) let relativeJointLocation = attachmentEntity.position( relativeTo: ballEntity ) let ballPin = ballEntity.pins.set( named: "ball_hinge", position: relativeJointLocation, orientation: hingeOrientation ) // Create a PhysicsSphericalJoint between the two pins. let revoluteJoint = PhysicsSphericalJoint(pin0: attachmentPin, pin1: ballPin) try revoluteJoint.addToSimulation() } } The following image is a screenshot of the operation when changing to PhysicsSphericalJoint. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

HidHide on MacOS
I was wondering if there's a method on MacOS to have my application hide a hid device such as a game controller and instead have the receiving game/application see my app's virtual controller? Is this possible via DriverKit or some other form of kernel level coding? On Windows we have a tool known as HidHide that hids a game controller from all other applications. Is it possible to implement such behavior into an app or is that system level?

Low Power Mode on MacOS 26 Tahoe + Vsync fullscreen limits application to 30 fps
I'm experiencing a specific issue where when using any of the MacOS 26 Tahoe betas with Low Power Mode enabled and using Vsync in fullscreen, my application framerate gets limited to a hard 30 fps. I have not experienced this on any older OS. For example Low Power Mode on 13.6 Ventura with Vsync fullscreen lets my application run at full 60 fps without issues. Is this a bug or a change in behavior of Low Power Mode on Tahoe? My application is 3D, runs at 60 fps and is sensitive to tearing, so I need Vsync and it is mostly utilized in fullscreen. And Low Power Mode is a default for many Macs, so default experience on Tahoe currently is a halved 30 fps. However there also seems to be inconsistencies of on which machines this happens, but older OSes are always fine.
