How to test iap (subcription) purchase?
Hi :) I'm new to app store connect, and I just want to verify what does it take to be able to test subscription for a new app that isn't approved yet using sandbox? Or is this not possible that the app has to be approved first? More context below: My app is a new app, I only submitted for review and I linked the subscription from the app’s In-App Purchases and Subscriptions section on the version page when submit it for review. It got rejected for now. When the app review status is both in-review and rejected, I've tried to test my subscription, where there is a button (like "subscribe"/"become a member") in my app that user can click on, which it calls ios's IAPProvider.startMembershipPurchase, I just get Error: [IAPService] Product not found: [<my_subscription_id>]. I ensured my subscription's product id in app store connect matches with the one in my code. I can see the "rejected" status both on my app and the subscription. So can anyone help clarify if the app has to be approved first in order to test subscription? Or am I missing any other setup? Or it might just be my code? Thanks in advance! Any info is super helpful!

Apple Developer Program Enrollment — Pending for Over 3 Weeks (D-U-N-S Verified)
Hello, I’m posting here to seek guidance or visibility regarding a delayed Apple Developer Program enrollment. I completed my organization enrollment over three weeks ago and provided a valid D-U-N-S number, which is correctly listed and verifiable. Since submitting the enrollment: The status has remained unchanged I’ve contacted Apple Developer Support three times via email I’ve received no response or timeline updates There is no option shown to request a phone call At this point, I’m unable to proceed with TestFlight, app distribution, or further development planning, and the lack of communication has made it difficult to understand next steps or expected timelines. If anyone from Apple Support or the community can advise: Whether this delay is expected If additional verification steps are required Or how best to escalate appropriately I’d really appreciate the guidance. Thank you for your time.

Unable to register with ADP
I attempted to register with ADP from the developer app. After entering my driver's license, address, and name, a pop-up appeared stating “There may be an issue with your account.” Subsequently, the “Register Now” button for ADP within the app became inactive. What could this account issue be? I would like to know how to proceed with registering with ADP.

Cannot preview in Xcode
My computer setup is I work from an account with regular (non-admin) privileges. I login into the admin account to install apps, update the OS, that kind of stuff, but work is from the reduced privileges account. And, when in it, I cannot preview swiftUI views in Xcode. Incredibly frustrating, have tried everything including a complete wipeout of the disk and reinstall, but no luck. Don't have any iOS simulator targets installed, it's macOS target I am working on. If I fire up xcode from the admin account it's all good, previes work and so on. Not so in the non-admin account, consistenly getting the "Cannot preview in this file. Failed to launch xxxx" Also tried elevating the privileges of the account to Admin, rebooting, no luck. Tried creating a new account, non-admin or admin, no luck. The detailed error repeats something along the lines of: == PREVIEW UPDATE ERROR: GroupRecordingError Error encountered during update group #3 ================================== | FailedToLaunchAppError: Failed to launch GIIK.Mesh-One | | /Volumes/Glyph 2TB/Developer/M4Book/Mesh One/DerivedData/Mesh One/Build/Products/Debug/Mesh One.app | | ================================== | | | [Remote] JITError | | | | ================================== | | | | | [Remote] XOJITError | | | | | | XOJITError: Could not create code file directory for session: Permission denied Most telling is the double space between directory and for on the last error line, it sounds like a failed string interpolation because the directory name was nil or empty? This is very frustrating (I also filed FB21900410). Am I missing something obvious? I also dumped the build settings and diffed the admin and non-admin accounts and they are an exact match (save for the path names). There has to be something that's preventing the non-admin accounts from previewing, anyone know what it might be/where to look? Cheers,

ioreg AVBControllerState - AVB/EAV Mode
Hello. To determine wether "AVB/EAV Mode" of a AV-capable network interfaces is turned on or off I query the IO registry and evaluate the property "AVBControllerState". I was wondering if this is the "correct" approach and if there is anything known about the values for this property? Network interfaces without AV capability may also carry this property (e.g.: for my WiFi adapter the value of 1) whereas the value for interfaces with AV capability can be 0 and 3. At least as far as I could observe with my limited amount of test devices at hand. Is it safe to assume that a value of 3 means this feature is turned on, 0 that it is turned off and ignore values of 1? Is there another approach to get to know the status of the "AVB/EAV Mode"? Thanks for any insight. Best regards, Ingo

Family Controls entitlement not applying to DeviceActivityMonitor and ShieldConfiguration extensions
I have the Family Controls & Personal Device Usage entitlement approved for my main app target, but I'm unable to get it applied to my app extensions (DeviceActivityMonitor and ShieldConfiguration). The entitlement request form at developer.apple.com/contact shows "Thank you for your submission" when I submit requests for the extensions, but the requests never actually register. No follow-up email, no change in my account. Without the entitlement on these extensions, I can't use the core Screen Time API functionality (monitoring device activity and displaying shield UIs when apps are blocked). The main app target has the entitlement, but the extensions need it independently to function. Has anyone run into this? Is there a way to get the entitlement extended to app extensions, or is there a step I'm missing in the provisioning process?

Need assistance preventing renewals for inactive promotional trial subscriptions
Can anyone advise on this? We distributed promotional trial codes for our app Ask Dolly. These 1-month free trials are set to renew and charge users in March 2026. A segment of users redeemed the promo codes but never created accounts or opened the app. We don't have their contact information to notify them. Our CEO has directed us to prevent these inactive subscriptions from renewing to avoid charging users who never engaged with the service. We've downloaded the Subscription and Offer Code Redemption reports from App Store Connect, but cannot map Apple's Subscriber IDs to our user database (we only store Transaction IDs). This prevents us from identifying which specific subscriptions to cancel. What We Need: Assistance preventing renewals for promotional subscriptions where users have had zero app sessions/opens as of the end of February. These trials will start to renew on March 3, 2026. We need to resolve this before then to avoid charging inactive users. Can you help us either: Cancel subscriptions associated with promo codes that show zero app engagement, or Provide guidance on how to programmatically identify and cancel these subscriptions?

How do i use dynamic data for my SwiftUI ScrollView without destroying performance?
Currently i am trying really hard to create experience like the Apple fitness app. So the main view is a single day and the user can swipe between days. The week would be displayed in the toolbar and provide a shortcut to scroll to the right day. I had many attempts at solving this and it can work. You can create such an interface with SwiftUI. However, changing the data on every scroll makes limiting view updates hard and additionally the updates are not related to my code directly. Instruments show me long updates, but they belong to SwiftUI and all the advice i found does not apply or help. struct ContentView: View { @State var journey = JourneyPrototype(selection: 0) @State var position: Int? = 0 var body: some View { ScrollView(.horizontal) { LazyHStack(spacing: 0) { ForEach(journey.collection, id: \.self) { index in Listing(index: index) .id(index) } } .scrollTargetLayout() } .scrollTargetBehavior(.paging) .scrollPosition(id: $position) .onChange(of: position) { oldValue, newValue in journey.selection = newValue ?? 0 journey.update() } .onScrollPhaseChange { oldPhase, newPhase in if newPhase == .idle { journey.commit() } } } } struct Listing: View { var index: Int var body: some View { List { Section { Text("Title") .font(.largeTitle) .padding() } Section { Text("\(index)") .font(.largeTitle) .padding() } Section { Text("1 ") Text("2 ") Text("3 ") Text("4 ") Text("5 ") Text("6 ") } } .containerRelativeFrame(.horizontal) } } @Observable class JourneyPrototype { var selection: Int var collection: [Int] var nextUp: [Int]? init(selection: Int) { self.selection = selection self.collection = [selection] Task { self.collection = [-2,-1,0,1,2] } } func update() { self.nextUp = [ self.selection - 2, self.selection - 1, selection, self.selection + 1, self.selection + 2 ] } func commit() { self.collection = self.nextUp ?? self.collection self.nextUp = nil } } #Preview { ContentView() } There are some major Problem with this abstracted prototype ScrollView has no good trigger for the update, because if i update on change of the position, it will update much more than once. Thats why i had to split calculation and applying the diff The LazyHStack is not optimal, because there are only 5 View in the example, but using HStack breaks the scrollPosition Each scroll updates all List, despite changing only 2 numbers in the array. AI recommended to append and remove, which does nothing about the updates. In my actual Code i do this with Identifiable data and the Problem is the same. So the data itself is not the problem? Please consider, this is just the rough prototype to explain the problem, i am aware that an array of Ints is not ideal here, but the problem is the same in Instruments and much shorter to post. Why am i posting this? Scrolling through dynamic data is required for many apps, but there is no proper solution to this online. Github and Blogs are fine with showing a progress indicator and letting the user wait, some probably perform worse than this prototype. Other solutions require UIKit like using a UIPageViewController. But even using this i run in small hitches related to layout. Important consideration, my data for the scrollview is too big to be calculated upfront. 100 years of days that are calculated for my domain logic take too long, so i have no network request, but the need to only act on a smaller window of data. Instruments shows long update for one scroll action tested on a iPhone SE 2nd generation ListRepresentable has 7 updates and takes 17ms LazySubViewPlacements has 2 updates and takes 8ms Other long updates are too verbose to include I would be very grateful for any help.

VideoMaterial Black Screen on Vision Pro Device (Works in Simulator)
VideoMaterial Black Screen on Vision Pro Device (Works in Simulator) App Overview App Name: Extn Browser Bundle ID: ai.extn.browser Purpose: A visionOS web browser that plays 360°/180° VR videos in an immersive sphere environment Development Environment & SDK Versions Component Version Xcode 26.2 Swift 6.2 visionOS Deployment Target 26.2 Swift Concurrency MainActor isolation enabled App is released in the TestFlight. Frameworks Used SwiftUI - UI framework RealityKit - 3D rendering, MeshResource, ModelEntity, VideoMaterial AVFoundation - AVPlayer, AVAudioSession WebKit - WKWebView for browser functionality Network - NWListener for local proxy server Sphere Video Mechanism The app creates an immersive 360° video experience using the following approach: // 1. Create sphere mesh (10 meter radius for immersive viewing) let mesh = MeshResource.generateSphere(radius: 10.0) // 2. Create initial transparent material var material = UnlitMaterial() material.color = .init(tint: .clear) // 3. Create entity and invert sphere (negative X scale) let sphere = ModelEntity(mesh: mesh, materials: [material]) sphere.scale = SIMD3<Float>(-1, 1, 1) // Inverts normals for inside-out viewing sphere.position = SIMD3<Float>(0, 1.5, 0) // Eye level // 4. Create AVPlayer with video URL let player = AVPlayer(url: videoURL) // 5. Configure audio session for visionOS let audioSession = AVAudioSession.sharedInstance() try audioSession.setCategory(.playback, mode: .moviePlayback, options: [.mixWithOthers]) try audioSession.setActive(true) // 6. Create VideoMaterial and apply to sphere let videoMaterial = VideoMaterial(avPlayer: player) if var modelComponent = sphere.components[ModelComponent.self] { modelComponent.materials = [videoMaterial] sphere.components.set(modelComponent) } // 7. Start playback player.play() ImmersiveSpace Configuration // browserApp.swift ImmersiveSpace(id: appModel.immersiveSpaceID) { ImmersiveView() .environment(appModel) } .immersionStyle(selection: .constant(.mixed), in: .mixed) Entitlements <!-- browser.entitlements --> <key>com.apple.security.app-sandbox</key> <true/> <key>com.apple.security.network.client</key> <true/> <key>com.apple.security.network.server</key> <true/> Info.plist Network Configuration <key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key> <dict> <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key> <true/> </dict> The Issue Behavior in Simulator: Video plays correctly on the inverted sphere surface - 360° video is visible and wraps around the user as expected. Behavior on Physical Vision Pro: The sphere displays a black screen. No video content is visible, though the sphere entity itself is present. Important: Not a DRM/Licensing Issue This issue is NOT related to Digital Rights Management (DRM) or FairPlay. I have tested with: Unlicensed raw MP4 video files (no DRM protection) Self-hosted video content with no copy protection Direct MP4 URLs from CDN without any licensing requirements The same black screen behavior occurs with all unprotected video sources, ruling out DRM as the cause. (Plain H.264 MP4, no DRM) Screen Recording: Working in Simulator The following screen recording demonstrates playing a 360° YouTube video in the immersive sphere on the visionOS Simulator: https://cdn.commenda.kr/screen-001.mov This confirms that the VideoMaterial and sphere rendering work correctly in the simulator, but the same setup shows a black screen on the physical Vision Pro device. Observations AVPlayer status reports .readyToPlay - The video appears to load successfully VideoMaterial is created without errors - No exceptions thrown Sphere entity renders - The geometry is visible (black surface) Audio session is configured - No errors during audio session setup Network requests succeed - The video URL is accessible from the device Same result with local/unprotected content - DRM is not a factor Console Logs (Device) The logging shows: Sphere created and added to scene AVPlayer created with correct URL VideoMaterial created and applied Player status transitions to .readyToPlay player.play() called successfully Rate shows 1.0 (playing) Despite all success indicators, the rendered output is black. Questions for Apple Are there known differences in VideoMaterial behavior between the visionOS Simulator and physical Vision Pro hardware? Does VideoMaterial(avPlayer:) require specific video codec/format requirements that differ on device? (The test video is a standard H.264 MP4) Is there a required Metal capability or GPU feature for VideoMaterial that may not be available in certain contexts on device? Does the immersion style (.mixed) affect VideoMaterial rendering on hardware? Are there additional entitlements required for video texture rendering in RealityKit on physical hardware? Attempted Solutions Configured AVAudioSession with .playback category Added delay before player.play() to ensure material is applied Verified sphere scale inversion (-1, 1, 1) Tested multiple video URLs (including raw, unlicensed MP4 files) Confirmed network connectivity on device Ruled out DRM/FairPlay issues by testing unprotected content Environment Details Device: Apple Vision Pro visionOS Version: 26.2 Xcode Version: 26.2 macOS Version: Darwin 25.2.0

External payment providers for users in Russia when In-App Purchases are unavailable
Hello, I have a question regarding payments for iOS apps in Russia. Currently, In-App Purchases are not available or do not work for many users in Russia, making it impossible for them to purchase digital subscriptions or digital content via Apple IAP. Is it allowed to: use an external payment provider available only in Russia, show this option only to users located in that region, and unlock access to digital content after payment is completed outside the app (for example, via a web page), in cases where Apple IAP is technically unavailable? Is there any official guidance or exception for regions where Apple IAP cannot be used? Thank you.

In "Learning Programming 2", I can't use "world.place"
I'm trying the "Connect and Solve" course of Swift Playground. I can't use "world.place" to place bricks at positions (2, 2), (6, 2) (automatically disappear), but I can place bricks at positions (4, 2) in the same way. Two bricks must be placed overlapping in positions (2, 2) and (6, 2) to achieve the goal. Only when a brick is placed in position (4, 2) can the goal be achieved. The problem is that the bricks placed on (6, 2) and (2, 2) will disappear and cannot be placed successfully. The following is my code writing... let Block1 = Block() for i in 1 ... 2 { world.place(Block1, atColumn: 2, row: 2) } for i in 1 ... 2 { world.place(Block1, atColumn: 6, row: 2) } world.place(Block1, atColumn: 4, row: 2) func turnaround() { turnRight() turnRight() } func walk4() { for i in 1 ... 3 { moveForward() } } func collet() { for i in 1 ... 2 { moveForward() } toggleSwitch() turnRight() walk4() collectGem() turnaround() walk4() turnRight() } for i in 1 ... 3 { collet() } ‌I would appreciate it if someone could offer some recommendations.‌ ‌Thanks a lot‌

How to get accurate Mouse/Trackpad deltas on macOS when using CGWarpMouseCursorPosition?
I am working on a remote control application for macOS where I need to maintain two "virtual" cursors: Remote Cursor: Follows the remote user's movements. Local Cursor: Follows the local user's physical mouse/trackpad movements. To move the system cursor (for the remote side), I use CGWarpMouseCursorPosition as follows: void DualCursorMac::UpdateSystemCursorPosition(int x, int y) { CGPoint point = CGPointMake(static_cast<CGFloat>(x), static_cast<CGFloat>(y)); // Warp the cursor to match remote coordinates CGWarpMouseCursorPosition(point); } Meanwhile, I use a CGEventTap to monitor local physical movements to update my local virtual cursor's UI: CGEventRef Mouse::MouseTapCallback(CGEventTapProxy proxy, CGEventType type, CGEventRef event, void *refcon) { if (remoteControlMode) { // We want to suppress system cursor movement but still read the delta const int deltaX = static_cast<int>(CGEventGetIntegerValueField(event, kCGMouseEventDeltaX)); const int deltaY = static_cast<int>(CGEventGetIntegerValueField(event, kCGMouseEventDeltaY)); NSLog(@"MouseTapCallback: delta:(%d, %d)", deltaX, deltaY); // Update local virtual cursor UI based on deltas... return nullptr; // Consume the event } return event; } The Problem: When CGWarpMouseCursorPosition is called frequently to update the system cursor, it interferes with the kCGMouseEventDeltaX/Y values in the Event Tap. Specifically, if the local user moves the trackpad slowly (expecting deltas of 1 or 2), but a "Warp" occurs simultaneously (e.g., jumping the cursor from (100, 100) to (300, 300)), the deltaX and deltaY in the callback suddenly spike to very large values. It seems the system calculates the delta based on the new warped position rather than the pure physical displacement of the trackpad. This makes the local virtual cursor "jump" erratically and makes it impossible to track smooth local movement during remote control. My Question: Is there a way to get the "raw" or "pure" physical relative movement (delta) from the trackpad/mouse that is independent of the system cursor's absolute position or warping? Are there alternative APIs (perhaps IOKit or different CGEvent fields) that would allow me to get consistent deltas even when the cursor is being warped programmatically?

In-App Purchases not loading in production / TestFlight — Previously missing Paid Apps Agreement — App rejected under Guideline 3.1.2
Hello, My app was rejected on iPad (iPad Air 11-inch M3, iPadOS 26.2.1) with two related issues: Guideline 2.1 – Performance – App Completeness “The app exhibited one or more bugs that would negatively impact users. Bug description: the premium subscription cannot be loaded properly.” Guideline 3.1.2 – Business – Payments – Subscriptions “The submission did not include all the required information for apps offering auto-renewable subscriptions.” I am using StoreKit 2 with SubscriptionStoreView to present the auto-renewable subscription. During development: Subscriptions load correctly in the simulator (sandbox). On real devices, I test without a local StoreKit configuration file to fetch products from App Store Connect. The subscription UI (title, duration, price) displays correctly when products are returned. At the time of review, the Paid Apps Agreement was not active. I suspect this may have caused the subscription products to fail loading on the review device. Since then: Paid Apps Agreement is now Active. SubscriptionStoreView should automatically show required metadata. Because the subscription failed to load on iPad during review, the required information (title, price, duration) was not visible, which likely triggered the 3.1.2 rejection. Additionally, in TestFlight I sometimes see inconsistent behavior where the app appears but cannot be installed (“App Not Available”). Also, my app was rejected, but the subscription is still waiting for review. I would really appreciate guidance on the following: Am I potentially missing any required configuration that could prevent products from loading in production? Is there any propagation delay after activating the Paid Apps Agreement that could affect product availability? If I am overlooking something in configuration or testing, please let me know what I should specifically verify before resubmitting. Thank you very much for your help.

Basics - Dice Demo, calculate total score
I've worked through Apple's dice demo for SwiftUI, so far so good. I've got a single Die view with a button to "roll" the die. This works perfectly using the code below: struct DieView: View { init(dieType: DieType) { self.dieValue = Int.random(in: 1...dieType.rawValue) self.dieType = dieType } @State private var dieValue: Int @State private var dieType: DieType var body: some View { VStack { if self.dieType == DieType.D6 { Image(systemName: "die.face.\(dieValue)") .resizable() .frame(width: 100, height: 100) .padding() } else {//self.dieType == DieType.D12{ Text("\(self.dieValue)") .font(.largeTitle) } Button("Roll"){ withAnimation{ dieValue = Int.random(in: 1...dieType.rawValue) } } .buttonStyle(.bordered) } Spacer() } } Now I want to do a DiceSetView with an arbitrary number of dice. I've got the UI working with the following; struct DiceSetView: View { @State private var totalScore: Int = 0 var body: some View { ScrollView(.horizontal) { HStack{ DieView(dieType: DieType.D6) DieView(dieType: DieType.D6) DieView(dieType: DieType.D6) } } HStack{ Button("Roll All"){} .buttonStyle(.bordered) Text("Score \(totalScore)") .font(.callout) } Spacer() } } Where I'm struggling is how to get the total of all the dice in a set and to roll all the dice in a set on a button click. I can't iterate through the dice, and just "click" the buttons in the child views from their parents, and I can't think how it should be structured to achieve this (I'm new to this style of programming!) - can anyone point me in the right direction for how to achieve what I want? I realise that I'm probably missing something fundamentally conceptual here....

Apple Ads Account “No Longer Authorized” – Ads Still Running & Unable to Contact Support
Hello, I’m looking for assistance regarding my Apple Ads account. When I try to log in, I receive the following message: “This Apple Account is no longer authorized for Apple Ads. If you believe that this is an error, please contact us.” When I click “Contact us,” I am redirected back to the same message and cannot submit a support request. I have not received any email explaining this restriction. At the same time, my ads appear to still be running, as I am seeing new users coming into my app. Since I cannot access the account, I currently have no visibility or control over active campaigns and potential ongoing spend. I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this or how to directly contact Apple Ads support, as I am unable to reach them through the platform. Thank you for your help.

ARKit Face Tracking works in total darkness?
I’ve seen, mainly in discussions with AIs, that ARFaceTrackingConfiguration uses the same technology as Face ID and therefore should work in complete darkness. However, I haven’t been able to achieve this. Does anyone know if this is actually true? I'm using an iPhone 16 to test, and the Face ID works well in darkness.

VoiceOver with Swift Charts summaries
I had a VoiceOver user point out an issue with my app that I’ve definitely known about but have never been able to fix. I thought that I had filed feedback for it but it looks like I didn’t. Before I do I’m hoping someone has some insight. With Swift Charts when I tap part of a chart it summarizes the three hours and then you can swipe vertically to hear it read out details of each hour. For example, the Y-Axis is the amount of precipitation for the hour and the X-Axis is the hours of the day. The units aren't being read in the summary but they are for individual hours when you vertical swipe. The summary says something such as "varies between 0.012 and 0.082". In the AXChartDescriptor I’ve tried everything I can think of, including adding a label to the Y axis in the DataPoint but nothing seems to work in getting that summary to include units. With a vertical swipe it seems to just be using my accessibility label and value (like I would expect).

Enrollment Pending Past Deadline – Case ID: 102818925571 – Blocking Distribution
I’m seeking guidance on how to move an enrollment forward that has stalled. I submitted my application for the Apple Developer Program on Feb-2, and the 48-hour processing window has now passed. have already reached out via the formal support channel but have not received a response beyond the automated acknowledgment. This delay is currently blocking the scheduled distribution of a macOS application and impacting our development timeline.
