Hello
I was building my submission for contest and I noticed that my app built and ran fine on Xcode but didn't even build on swift playground, so should I be concerned about this, and where do the judges finally run and test our submitted playground is it in swift playground app or Xcode ??

Hello everyone,
I have already submitted my app playground for the Swift Student Challenge. After submission I noticed a few things I would like to improve and fix.
Is it possible to withdraw my current submission and then immediately resubmit an updated version?
Any clarification (especially from Apple staff or anyone who has done this before) would be very helpful.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have completed the payment for my Apple Developer membership but my order (W1388955794) is still showing as pending.
Could you pls review and confirm the payment.
Thanks
Our Goal: We are implementing a workflow for derived credentials. Our objective is to have a PIV/CAC derived credential (from Entrust), installed via the Intune MDM Company Portal app, and then use it within our (managed) app to generate digital signatures.
Challenge: The Intune Company Portal installs these identities into the System Keychain. Because third-party apps are restricted from accessing private keys in the System Keychain, we are running into a roadblock.
Our Question: 1) Is there an API that allows us to create a signature without us having to pass the private key itself, but instead just pass a handle/some reference to the private key and then the API can access the private key in the system keychain and create the signature under the hood. SecKeyCreateSignature is the API method that creates a signature but requires passing a private key. 2) If #1 is not feasible, is there a way to get access to system keychain to retrieve certs + private key for managed apps
I’m developing a share extension for iOS 26 with Xcode 26. When the extension’s sheet appears, it always shows a full white background, even though iOS 26 introduces a new “Liquid Glass” effect for partial sheets.
Expected:
The sheet background should use the iOS 26 glassmorphism effect as seen in full apps.
Actual behavior:
Custom sheets in my app get the glass effect, but the native system sheet in the share extension always opens as plain white.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a share extension using UIKit
Present any UIViewController as the main view
Set modalPresentationStyle = .pageSheet (or leave as default)
Observe solid white background, not glassmorphism
Sample code:
swift
override func viewDidLoad() {
super.viewDidLoad()
view.backgroundColor = .clear
preferredContentSize = CGSize(width: UIScreen.main.bounds.width, height: 300)
}
Troubleshooting attempted:
Tried adding UIVisualEffectView with system blur/materials
Removed all custom backgrounds
Set modalPresentationStyle explicitly
Questions:
Is it possible to enable or force the Liquid Glass effect in share extensions on iOS 26?
Is this a limitation by design or a potential bug?
Any workaround to make extension sheet backgrounds match system glass appearance?
I noticing that Monterey defaults to the NSWindowToolbarStyleAutomatic / NSWindowToolbarStyleUnified toolbar style, which suppresses the "use Small Size" menu item and customization checkbox.
So I've set the window to use NSWindowToolbarStyleExpanded. However, the toolbar will no longer change to a smaller icon size, as it did in MacOS 10.14, 10.15, and 11.0.
I've tried to set the toolbar item sizing to "Automatic" for all of our toolbar icons, but that results in bad positioning in both Regular and Small Size mode -- the height is way too big.
The native size of the icon .png files are 128 x 128. What's odd is that if I resize the window with the toolbar to be wider, the NSToolbarItems in the overflow area will be displayed in the toolbar are 128 x 128, where the rest of the toolbar icons get displayed as a 32 x 32 icon.
The only way to get it to layout remotely correct is to make the NSToolbarItem to have an explicit minimum size of 24 x 24 and maximum size of 32 x 32. And that USED to allow "small size", but on Monterey, it no longer does.
Anyone had any success with small size icons on Monterey?
Hello, I'm struggling trying to interact with a RealityKit entity nested (or at least visually nested) in a second one.
I think I've the same issue as mentioned on this StackOverflow post, but I can't manage to reproduce the solution. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79244424/how-to-prioritize-a-specific-entity-when-collision-boxes-overlap-in-realitykit
What I'd like to achieve is to translate the red box using a DragGesture, while still be able to interact using a TapGesture on the sphere. Currently, I can only do one at a time.
Does anyone know the solution?
extension CollisionGroup {
static let parent: CollisionGroup = CollisionGroup(rawValue: 1 << 0)

let boxMesh = MeshResource.generateBox(size: 0.35)
let boxMaterial = SimpleMaterial(color: .red.withAlphaComponent(0.25), isMetallic: false)
let boxEntity = ModelEntity(mesh: boxMesh, materials: [boxMaterial])
let sphereMesh = MeshResource.generateSphere(radius: 0.05)
let sphereMaterial = SimpleMaterial(color: .blue, isMetallic: false)
let sphereEntity = ModelEntity(mesh: sphereMesh, materials: [sphereMaterial])
content.add(sphereEntity)
content.add(boxEntity)
boxEntity.components.set(InputTargetComponent())
boxEntity.components.set(
CollisionComponent(
shapes: [ShapeResource.generateBox(size: SIMD3<Float>(repeating: 0.35))],
isStatic: true,
filter: CollisionFilter(
group: .parent,
mask: .parent.subtracting(.child)
)
)
)
sphereEntity.components.set(InputTargetComponent())
sphereEntity.components.set(HoverEffectComponent())
sphereEntity.components.set(
CollisionComponent(
shapes: [ShapeResource.generateSphere(radius: 0.05)],
isStatic: true,
filter: CollisionFilter(
group: .child,
mask: .child.subtracting(.parent)
)
)
)
}
}
}
I am looking through the rules and terms and it just says Xcode submissions will be run on a simulator. Does this mean Mac Catalyst or can it be run on a iPad VM? Or more so should we specify in the comments on where to run it.
Thank you!

We’re sending PTT notifications from our server and are receiving HTTP 403 from APNs for certain phones with the reason field BadEnvironmentKeyInToken. I can’t find this reason documented in Apple’s public error list. I’d like to confirm what this error specifically means and how to resolve it. Any guidance or clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Here is the document I was referring to. https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/NetworkingInternet/Conceptual/RemoteNotificationsPG/CommunicatingwithAPNs.html

I'm submitting my first macOS app (an Electron app, signed with Developer ID Application certificate and hardened runtime) for notarization using xcrun notarytool submit with App Store Connect API key authentication.
All 6 of my submissions have been stuck at "In Progress" for over 24 hours now. The oldest submission is 27+ hours old. None have transitioned to Accepted or
Invalid.
Here's what I've verified:
Code signing is valid: codesign --verify --deep --strict passes
Hardened runtime is enabled
Uploads succeed: Each submission receives a valid submission ID and the file uploads successfully to Apple's servers
API key auth is working: Using App Store Connect API key (.p8 file), Key ID, and Issuer ID
Tried both locally and via GitHub Actions CI — same result
Polling Apple's status endpoint eventually times out with NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001 "The request timed out" when checking
https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/notary/v2/submissions/<id>
Logs are not available (notarytool log returns "not yet available" for all submissions)
Apple Developer System Status shows "Developer ID Notary Service" as Available

This is my first time notarizing any app on this developer account. I've seen other threads mentioning that first-time submissions can be "held for in-depth
analysis," but 24+ hours with no feedback at all seems excessive.
Is anyone else currently experiencing this? Is there anything I can do to unblock my account's notarization queue, or do I just need to wait? Any guidance from DTS
would be greatly appreciated.
I've also emailed Apple Developer Support but haven't received a response yet.
Hey folks,
Looking for some assistance with using an API key with xcodebuild commands to archive/export builds on our Enterprise developer account. The goal here is to allow Xcode to completely manage signing/certificates with our cloud distribution certificate, since these builds are happening in CI and we don't want to be manually handling user sessions/certificates on these machines.
This is working great with our App Store account, but with our Enterprise account we're getting errors both archiving and exporting the builds. Here's an example of an export command that is giving errors:
xcodebuild
-exportArchive
-exportOptionsPlist /path/to/exportOptions.plist
-archivePath /path/to/archive.xcarchive
-exportPath /path/to/export
-authenticationKeyID ***
-authenticationKeyIssuerID ***
-authenticationKeyPath /path/to/key.p8
-allowProvisioningUpdates
I've put some example values there, but we've double/triple checked the real values when this is actually running. These are the errors we're getting:

We get very similar errors when archiving as well. Are we doing something incorrect here? Is API key usage with xcodebuild not supported for Enterprise builds? Appreciate any help y'all can provide!
I use Claude Code with AWS Bedrock models. I see that Xcode 26.3 has a way to add model providers but I don't see the URL or API key in use with Claude Code. Is it possible, or are the protocols different and I have to convince my company to pay for an Anthropic subscription

Hi,
I am developing an iOS application that utilizes Apple’s Foundation Models to perform certain summarization tasks. I would like to understand whether user data is transferred to Private Cloud Compute (PCC) in cases where the computation cannot be performed entirely on-device.
This information is critical for our internal security and compliance reviews. I would appreciate your clarification on this matter.
Thank you.

Hi all,
I’m seeing a lifecycle behavior change on iOS 26.0 (and up).
While my app is in the foreground and active, pressing the hardware Lock button triggers didBecomeActive callbacks/notifications even though the app is transitioning away from active state.
I’m observing this sequence:
willResignActive
didBecomeActive
willResignActive
didEnterBackground
This happens for:
• UISceneDelegate.sceneDidBecomeActive(:)
• UIApplicationDelegate.applicationDidBecomeActive(:)
• UIApplication.didBecomeActiveNotification
On iOS 18 (same app, same code) I do not see didBecomeActive in the middle of locking/backgrounding.
Problem is reproduced on totally new project.
I would expect a normal transition to background:
• willResignActive → didEnterBackground
…and no extra didBecomeActive between them.
I have “became active” logic (refresh UI/state, resume timers, analytics). On iOS 26.0 this logic runs unexpectedly during locking, causing unnecessary work and incorrect state transitions.
Is this callback ordering expected on iOS 26.0 when pressing the Lock button?
If expected, what’s the recommended way to detect a “real” activation (and avoid transient didBecomeActive during locking/backgrounding)?
If this is a regression, is there a known workaround or best practice?
I am trying to Build server for testing on Linux(Alma linux 9 VM)
NAME="AlmaLinux"
VERSION="9.7 (Moss Jungle Cat)"
ID="almalinux"
ID_LIKE="rhel centos fedora"
VERSION_ID="9.7"
PLATFORM_ID="platform:el9"
PRETTY_NAME="AlmaLinux 9.7 (Moss Jungle Cat)"
ANSI_COLOR="0;34"
[azuki@AlmaDevVM ~]$ uname -m
x86_64
I have tried the following steps:
Before starting, ensured that Swift 6 installed. Referred https://www.swift.org/install/ for instructions.
Build the library
In Terminal, uses the following commands to compile the Swift library:
cd Development/Key_Server_Module/Swift
swift build -Xbuild-tools-swiftc -DTEST_CREDENTIALS
After building the library, ran test cases to ensure the library behaves as expected. ALL unit tests are passing with the development credentials.
• Since I was using an x86_64 machine:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=./Sources/prebuilt/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/
Run all tests:
swift test -Xbuild-tools-swiftc -DTEST_CREDENTIALS --disable-swift-testing
Build the server
Build the server: Apache
Before starting, ensured the following:
a. Installed Apache HTTPD and the dev tools. Using the following command for installation:
yum install httpd httpd-devel redhat-rpm-config
b. After this, integrated it into the Apache server
environment with swift library that was built above. Used the following command to build the server using apxs:
• Since I was using an x86_64 machine:
apxs -i -a -c
-Wl,-L${PWD}/.build/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/debug/
-Wl,-lswift_fpssdk
-Wl,-L${PWD}/Sources/prebuilt/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu -lfpscrypto
-Wl,-R${PWD}/.build/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/debug
server_setup/mod_fps.c
c. Next, copied the dependent libraries to the Apache modules folder using these commands:
• If using an x86_64 machine:
cp Sources/prebuilt/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/libfpscrypto.so /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/libfpscrypto.so
cp .build/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/debug/libswift_fpssdk.so /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/libswift_fpssdk.so
d. Configuring Apache HTTPD
Configured Apache HTTPD by adding the module and handler to your Apache
HTTPD configuration (/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf). Note that the apxs command
may automatically add the LoadModule line in the previous step.
Listen 8080
LoadFile /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/libfpscrypto.so
LoadFile /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/libswift_fpssdk.so
LoadModule fps_module /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_fps.so
<Location "/fps">
SetHandler fps_handler
Copy the credentials to the Apache modules folder.
cp -r ../credentials /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/
export FPS_CERT_PATH=
/usr/lib64/httpd/modules/credentials/test_certificates.json
e. Run your server
You can run the Apache HTTPD server with the configured module by using the following command:
httpd -D FOREGROUND
No issues see till step.
Get SDK version
[azuki@AlmaDevVM Key_Server_Module]$ curl localhost:8080/fps/v
26.0.0
But when i try to generate license
[azuki@AlmaDevVM Key_Server_Module]$ curl -d ../Test_Inputs/iOS/spc_ios_hd_lease_2048.json localhost:8080/fps
{"fairplay-streaming-response":{"create-ckc":[{"id":1,"status":-42601}]}}
Can you please suggest what i might be missing here?
We made a purchase to join the Apple Developer Program, but we have been waiting for 5 days and have not received any response such as an approval or rejection. Are you experiencing the same issue as well?
I've paid - and have the confirmation of subscription email.
But when I try to enroll both on my iphone and macbook air - I get errors. on the iphone said could not complete enrollment. on the macbook it said "not available in your area"
I am in australia and it should work. Does anyone know how to fix the enrollment bugs?
Hello,
I submitted my app for review on February 5 at 1:53 PM, and it is still currently showing as “Waiting for Review.” I understand that App Store reviews can take time; however, I’ve noticed that my recent submissions have been taking around 10–12 days before the review process begins.
I wanted to check if there might be any specific issue or reason for this delay. Historically, my apps have only had minor review feedback (for example, small metadata or description adjustments), and no major compliance issues.
For initial reviews of new versions, the waiting time seems significantly longer than expected. I would appreciate any information or guidance you can provide regarding this.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Raj
Hello.
My developer membership is expired. I cannot renew because the renewal option/button does not appears in any device. A banner tells me:
"Any apps you had on the App Store are no longer available for download and you can no longer access membership benefits. If you’d like to renew your membership to reinstate your apps and membership benefits, open the Apple Developer app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts.If you agreed to the Paid Applications Agreement, you’ll need to agree to it again after renewal in the Agreements, Tax and Banking section of App Store Connect."
However, there's no "Renew" to tap or click anywhere in the app nor in the web.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot.
I have an iOS app build that is being tested. The user has provided feedback and screenshots that I can see in Connect.
But I cannot download the zip file of the screenshot and feedback information. There are 3 screenshots.
Each time I try it just times out.
I have tried on a couple of different computers with the same result.
Can you help please?
Thanks
