Unify Native iOS Utility Apps into a Single Modular AI-Enhanced App (Apple Assist)
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'd like to propose a system-wide enhancement for future versions of iOS: the integration of native utility apps — Calculator, Compass, Voice Memos, Magnifier, Measure, Weather, and Translate — into a single unified app, tentatively called Apple Assist. The vision is to provide: A modular interface where users can enable/disable tools as needed. Smarter workflows with proactive suggestions based on context (time, location, task). AI-powered interaction through voice and Apple Intelligence (Advanced Siri). Benefits: Reduces icon clutter on the Home Screen. Simplifies the user experience with a single access point. Creates opportunities for automation and accessibility. Imagine saying: “Hey Siri, record a quick note and measure the table” — and the app smartly loads those modules on demand. Question regarding ethernet over USB-C
Hello, I have a question regarding the ethernet-over-USB-C stack within iOS/iPadOS. It seems that when manually assigning an IP on this interface within iOS, the IP is stored. Therefore, when disconnecting (the USB-C cable) and reconnecting to another device for a subsequent ethernet connection, the iOS device will always default to the previously assigned IP address (obviously, this isn't the case if the other end is a DHCP server). So, within the iPhone's Ethernet-over-USB-C driver, I was curious if iOS just keeps the assignment based on the MAC of the local USB-C interface, or is stored information tied to some other identifier? Is there a way to override this behavior? Thank you

Apple Developer Account Terminated (No Email Notice) - Seeking Advice on Investigation & Appeal Process
Hi everyone, Our Apple Developer account (ID/Email: [*****]) was suddenly disabled, showing "Terminated" status in the backend, but we received no violation notice via email. Current issues: Context: Last operation before termination: "App submission" No warning emails or policy violation details received (checked spam folder) Attempted Solutions: Submitted appeal via Developer Support Page, no response yet Reviewed all apps against 《App Store Review Guidelines》, no obvious violations found Questions: Are there alternative ways to contact Apple support directly? CarPlay shows black screen on my car for first connection if iOS version larger than 17.5
iPhone: iPhone 12 pro max, iOS:18.3.1 Step: Connect CarPlay to my car, after connection success, CarPlay screen is black. This issue only happens of first time connection; I have asked OEM factory, they told me because of my iOS version is larger than 17.5, and above this version, will have this issue. So, I need your help to figure problem and update in new version.

Is It Possible to Restore Previous Browser State After openURL on iOS?
Hi Everyone, I’m currently working on a flow where a web page redirects to our app to perform certain actions, and then returns the user back to the browser. However, on iOS, the only way to go back to the browser is by using the openURL method. The issue is that this method can only open the browser app itself—it can’t control which tab or page is shown, so the user doesn’t return to the original tab they came from. The same limitation also applies to Android. Furthermore, iOS doesn’t allow an app to programmatically return to the previous app (in this case, the browser). While Android doesn’t have an official way either, in some cases, the OS automatically returns to the previous app when ours is closed. I’d like to ask: Is there any known method or workaround that allows returning from my app back to Safari (or the default browser) and restoring the previously active web page or tab? Or, is there any way to programmatically return to the previous app from within my app? Thanks in advance for your support!

Battery stuck at 1%
I just downloaded ios 26 atm i was upgrading my phone battery was 50% and charging , now when i fully installated ios 26 it shows battery 1% and even i try to charge it still stays at 1% any idea how to fix it

My imessage has been acting up for 1 month now. It fails to activate my phone number and prefers my email. This is a beta issue Apple support has told me and it needs fixing asap.

Help accessing audio input from Mac
Hello there, I am a casual game modder for a game called Vintage Story and I had a question about accessing audio input from a Mac. Some other modders in my community developed a proximity chat system that allows players to hear one another via microphone while in physical proximity within the game. It apparently works very well on Windows but unfortunately they don’t seem to know how to get the mod to receive audio input from a Mac. I spoke with them and they are looking for some Mac devs who might be able to help them. Would anyone here be able to shed light on this or know any Mac devs who could?

iCloud file reading and writing (iOS)
On my first attempt at adding iCloud to my existing app this is how far I've gotten. For reasons that I won't go into, the use case for my app does not need coordination. I have successfully made my app write a file to the Documents directory of iCloud and read back that same file without errors. In testing on a real iPhone 13 and iPhone 7 I have verified that my app can write a file to iCloud from the iPhone 7 and then read back that same file on the iPhone 13, so I know that the file truly exists in the cloud. But when I make my app on the iPhone 13 write to iCloud, my app on the iPhone 7 says the file does not exist. Exactly the same build of my app is running in both phones. This is problem #1. Problem #2 is that none of these files appear in the iCloud section of the Files app on either of these Phones, nor do they appear in the iCloud section of my Mac. All devices are signed in to my same Apple account in iCloud. Selling your first app
How long was it between putting your first app on the App Store (that had a paid component to it like IAPs) and getting your first sale? I'm working on an app at the moment that I plan on putting up for a small one time fee. I'm curious to know what people's different experiences were with this. What was your app and how did it go?

No Apps appearing on home screen or in the App Library after download
Hello, i just noticed that when i download an app through the App Store on my iPhone, the app i downloaded does not appear on my home screen or in the App Library. is there any work around for me to make them appear at least in the App Library? the only way to open or to place an app on my home screen I downloaded after upgrading to iOS 18.4 Beta 3 is to search for it in Spotlight or in the App Store. Any apps I downloaded before upgrading to iOS 18.4 Beta 3 is still on my home screen or in the App Library. i am currently running iOS 18.4 Beta 3 on an iPhone 16 Pro

An idea for a photographic app
Hello, I created a particular ray tracing based photo/video capture app for iPhone (which causes me several headaches in finding the optimal configuration) that which often offers very soft and visually beautiful shots but is trapped in the usual oblivion of apps from unknown developers. While it is true that on the one hand the fact that almost no one downloads your app even if it is free can save you from several gaffes in the early days, in the long run it becomes depressing. So I thought of creating something that could be an incentive to try the app. Not having money to invest in prizes for contests or much more pragmatically in advertising, I thought of adding a function where you can see the best photos taken in your area and vote for them and, if you want, add a photo taken in the competition. Do you think it could be a nice idea? It's true that the problem itself is to overcome the wall of 0 downloads, where your app is neither successful nor unsuccessful because in fact nobody tries it, but without money for advertising I don't have many other ideas... Clearing an app’s memory, data etc.
My app works perfectly the first time it is used but when returning to the start after playing the game and playing another it does some random things. I figure it is because the app still retains the previous game in it’s memory allocation? My question is, what is the best way programmatically to have an app start fresh and not have to quit it and open it again?

A wired keyboard connected via a hub cannot wake up the iPad on iOS version after 18.0
Problem Description: On the iPad 10th tablet, when a USB 2.0 interface extended by a Type - C interface through a USB 2.0 hub is used to connect a keyboard, there is an issue that the keyboard cannot wake up the system when the system version is 18.0 (inclusive) or higher. However, this problem does not occur on systems earlier than 18.0. Note: To ensure low power consumption of the product, if there is no key press on the keyboard for 10 minutes, the power supply of some functions of the hub will be cut off, but the power supply of the keyboard will remain on. When a key is pressed, the power supply of all functions of the hub will be reconnected.
