Is Jax for Apple Silicon is still supported
Hi From https://developer.apple.com/metal/jax/ I checked all active workflows on https://github.com/jax-ml/jax and any open issues with tags Metal and seems in DEC 2025 the Jax maintainers have closed all issues citing No active development on Jax-metal and the project seems dead. We need to know how can we leverage Apple silicon for accelerated projects using popular academia library and tools . Is the JAX project still going to be supported or Apple has plans to bring something of tis own that might be platform agnostic . Thanks

PKPassLibrary returning empty array in Non-UI Wallet Extension
Hello, We are implementing Apple Wallet extensions (PKIssuerProvisioningExtensionHandler). While our UI extension works as expected, our Non-UI extension is unable to detect payment passes provisioned by our app. Specifically, PKPassLibrary().passes(of: .secureElement) returns an empty array when called from the Non-UI extension, even though the same call correctly returns the passes when executed from the Main iOS App. Our Payment Network Operator has confirmed that our extension bundle identifiers are correctly registered in the metadata on their side. They suggested that the Wallet Extensions entitlement (com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning) may require additional backend enablement for these specific Extension App IDs. Is there a known reason why PKPassLibrary would behave differently in the Non-UI extension vs the Main App? Beyond the standard entitlement request, is there a specific process to "activate" these IDs for extension visibility? Does anyone have guidance on reaching the appropriate team for backend entitlement activation issues? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Help with visionOS pushWindow issues requested
I first started using the SwiftUI pushWindow API in visionOS 26.2, and I've reported several bugs I discovered, listed below. Under certain circumstances, pushed window relationships may break, and this behavior affects all other apps, not just the app that caused the problem, until the next device reboot. In other cases, the system may crash and restart. (FB21287011) When a window presented with pushWindow is dismissed, its parent window reappears in the wrong location (FB21294645) Pinning a pushed window to a wall breaks pushWindow for all other apps on the system (FB21594646) pushWindow interacts poorly with the window bar close app option (FB21652261) If a window locked to a wall calls pushWindow, the original window becomes unlocked (FB21652271) If a window locked in place calls pushWindow and the pushed window is closed, the system freezes (FB21828413) pushWindow, UIApplication.open, and a dismissed immersive space result in multiple failures that require a device reboot (FB21840747) visionOS randomly foregrounds a backgrounded immersive space app with a pushed window's parent window visible instead of the pushed window (FB21864652) When a running app is selected in the visionOS home view, windows presented with pushWindow spontaneously close (FB21873482) Pushed windows use the fixed scaling behavior instead of the dynamic scaling behavior I'm posting the issues here in case this information is helpful to other developers. I'd also like to hear about other pushWindow issues developers have encountered, so I can watch out for them. Questions: I've discovered that some of the issues above can be partially worked around by applying the defaultLaunchBehavior and restorationBehavior scene modifiers to suppress window restoration and locking, which pushWindow appears to interact poorly with. Are there other recommended workarounds? I've observed that the Photos and Settings apps, which predate the pushWindow API, are not affected by the issues I reported. Are there other more reliable ways I could achieve the same behavior as pushWindow without relying on that API? I'd appreciate any guidance Apple engineers could provide. Thank you.

"access_denied" error during Sign in with Apple user migration (TN3159)
Hello, I am currently process of migrating an app from Team A to Team B and attempting to generate transfer identifiers using the migration endpoint: POST https://appleid.apple.com/auth/usermigrationinfo. Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded However, I am consistently receiving an { "error": "access_denied" } response. [Current Configuration] Team A (Source): Primary App ID: com.example.primary Grouped App IDs: com.example.service (Services ID for Web) com.example.app (App ID for iOS - The one being transferred) All identifiers are under the same App Group. Team B (Destination): New App ID and Key created. [Steps Taken] Created a Client Secret (JWT) using Team A's Key ID and Team ID. The sub (subject) in the JWT is set to the Primary App ID of Team A. Requesting with client_id (Primary App ID), client_secret (JWT), and user_token. [Questions] 1. App Group Impact: Does the fact that the App being transferred is a Grouped App ID (not the Primary) affect the usermigrationinfo request? Should I use the Primary App ID or the specific Grouped App ID as the client_id? 2. Ungrouping Safety: If I need to ungroup the App ID from the Primary App ID to resolve this: Will existing users still be able to sign in without issues? Is there any risk of changing the sub (user identifier) that the app receives from Apple? Will this cause any immediate service interruption for the live app? Any insights on why access_denied occurs in this Primary-Grouped configuration would be greatly appreciated.

Testing a Notarised Product
To ship a product outside of the Mac App Store, you must notarise it. The notary service issues a notarised ticket, and the ultimate consumer of that ticket is Gatekeeper. However, Gatekeeper does not just check the ticket; it also applies a variety of other checks, and it’s possible for those checks to fail even if your notarised ticket is just fine. To avoid such problems showing up in the field, test your product’s compatibility with Gatekeeper before shipping it. To do this: Set up a fresh machine, one that’s never seen your product before. If your product supports macOS 10.15.x, x < 4, the best OS version to test with is 10.15.3 [1]. Download your product in a way that quarantines it (for example, using Safari). Disconnect the machine from the network. It might make sense to skip this step. See the discussion below. Install and use your product as your users would. If the product is signed, notarised, and stapled correctly, everything should work. If not, you’ll need to investigate what’s making Gatekeeper unhappy, fix that, and then retest. For detailed advice on that topic, see Resolving Trusted Execution Problems. Run this test on a fresh machine each time. This is necessary because Gatekeeper caches information about your product and it’s not easy to reset that cache. Your best option is to do this testing on a virtual machine (VM). Take a snapshot of the VM before the first test, and then restore to that snapshot when you want to retest. Also, by using a VM you can disable networking in step 3 without disrupting other work on your machine. The reason why you should disable networking in step 3 is to test that you’ve correctly stapled the notarised ticket on to your product. If, for some reason, you’re unable to do that stapling, it’s fine to skip step 3. However, be aware that this may cause problems for a user if they try to deploy your product to a Mac that does not have access to the wider Internet. For more background on this, see The Pros and Cons of Stapling. [1] macOS 10.15.4 fixes a bug that made Gatekeeper unnecessarily strict (r. 57278824), so by testing on 10.15.3 you’re exercising the worst case. The process described above is by far the best way to test your Gatekeeper compatibility because it accurately tests how your users run your product. However, you can also run a quick, albeit less accurate test, using various command-line tools. The exact process depends on the type of product you’re trying to check: App — Run syspolicy_check like this: % syspolicy_check distribution WaffleVarnish.app This tool was introduced in macOS 14. On older systems, use the older spctl tool. Run it like this: % spctl -a -t exec -vvv WaffleVarnish.app Be aware, however, that this check is much less accurate. Disk image — Run spctl like this: % spctl -a -t open -vvv --context context:primary-signature WaffleVarnish.dmg Installer package — Run spctl like this: % spctl -a -t install -vvv WaffleVarnish.pkg Other code — Run codesign like this: % codesign -vvvv -R="notarized" --check-notarization WaffleVarnish.bundle This command requires macOS 10.15 or later. UK TAX INFO - alternative terms addendum - showing under tax forms with no visible agreement
Hello everyone, I’m facing a confusing issue in App Store Connect and hoping someone here has encountered this before. Context: • Company developer account (UK-based) • App is free to download • Only optional In-App Purchases (Apple IAP) • No external payments • Using standard App Store distribution • Paid Apps agreement is active • US tax forms (W-8BEN-E) are active Issue: Under Agreements → Tax Forms, I see: United Kingdom Tax Info – Alternative Terms Addendum – Missing Tax Info However: • There is no Alternative Terms Addendum visible under Agreements • I have not intentionally opted into EU DMA Alternative Terms • I do not have a UK VAT number (Apple should be Merchant of Record under standard IAP) Finance Support says they do not support Alternative Terms. Agreements support has not responded yet. Questions: 1. Can the Alternative Terms flag exist only under Tax Forms without a visible agreement? 2. How can a developer revert back to standard App Store terms if this happens? 3. Has anyone had Apple remove this EU DMA backend flag manually? Any guidance or similar experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

1st App rejected because it is too similar to my webpage
I received this message "Your app provides a limited user experience as it is not sufficiently different from a web browsing experience." It needs to be more robust and native. When submitting this the app had: Push Notifications Core Location Phone Contact access So now I am adding: Haptic feedback Quick touch actions A more robust add to calendar function. (the app does scheduling) But is this enough for resubmission? I am not really sure what is considered "robust" and "more native".... that is vague.

Clarification on Secure Handling of authenticationToken for Wallet Pass Updates
Hello there, We’re currently integrating Apple Wallet pass functionality into our application and am looking for clarification around the automatic update flow. Particularly regarding secure management of the authenticationToken. We’ve reviewed the documentation here: Adding a Web Service to Update Passes authenticationToken Documentation From our understanding: When a user downloads a pass from our service, the .pkpass includes both a webServiceURL and an authenticationToken. Once the pass is added to Wallet, the Wallet app makes authenticated requests to our webServiceURL, using the token in the Authorization header. We then validate this token server-side to serve updates or handle device registration. So far, this flow is clear. However, we’re looking for clarification on two key scenarios: If a user adds the same pass twice on the same device, should the authenticationToken remain the same in both cases? If the same user adds the same pass on a different device, should the authenticationToken also remain consistent across devices? If the answer to both is “yes,” we assume that our backend must store the original authenticationToken in a retrievable form (not just as a hash) to regenerate the same pass for re-download or multi-device sync. Our main question is: What is Apple’s recommended or acceptable approach to storing authenticationToken values securely on the backend? Should these tokens be: Stored in plaintext (e.g. in a protected DB field)? Encrypted using a symmetric key? Hashed (not reversible, but limits reuse)? We want to ensure we align with Apple’s best practices for Wallet security and token management, especially in contexts where the same pass may be installed on multiple devices or reissued later.

How to open main app from ShieldActionExtension?
Hi! I'm building a Screen Time management app using FamilyControls and ManagedSettings. When a user taps the primary button on a ShieldActionExtension, I need to open my main app to guide them through an intervention exercise. Other approved App Store apps like Jomo - Screen Time Blocker do exactly this: tapping their shield's primary button opens the main Jomo app directly. Screen recording: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15yubtTdTkFskGCIaAw_HGB57-boHPl3a/view?usp=sharing I've tried: URL schemes (UIApplication.shared.open() unavailable in extensions) Universal links Local notifications (works, but adds an extra tap) NSUserActivity Is there a supported API I'm missing? Or another accepted solution? Any guidance is appreciated.

Enrollment Stuck in "Processing" for Organization
Hello everyone, I’m currently enrolling as an Organization from Albania and I’ve been stuck on the "Enrolling" status for 8 business days now. I have my D-U-N-S number sorted and everything was submitted. I sent an email last week to the support but I haven't heard back yet. I’ve already sent another support message 2 days ago but no reply so far. I’m curious to hear from others who have enrolled recently (especially in 2026): How long did your organization verification take? Did you receive a verification phone call, or was it just approved via email? For those in the Balkans/Europe, did you have to provide extra local business registry documents (like the QKB extract) manually? I’m trying to time my launch with my Google Play release, so I’m a bit anxious about the "black hole" of waiting. Any experiences or "nudge" tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

External payment providers for users in Russia when In-App Purchases are unavailable
Hello, I have a question regarding payments for iOS apps in Russia. Currently, In-App Purchases are not available or do not work for many users in Russia, making it impossible for them to purchase digital subscriptions or digital content via Apple IAP. Is it allowed to: use an external payment provider available only in Russia, show this option only to users located in that region, and unlock access to digital content after payment is completed outside the app (for example, via a web page), in cases where Apple IAP is technically unavailable? Is there any official guidance or exception for regions where Apple IAP cannot be used? Thank you.

Cannot enable inactive devices
As the title says, in apple developer site under (Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles) all my devices are set to inactive, and I cannot enable them back because my twices are glitched I have 2 devices and they are there twice each with the same UDID. So I cannot enable a single one. I’m hit with “A device with number 'UDID number' already exists on this team.” I have an iPad Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, I cannot sign any apps to them at all or do anything because my devices are set to inactive, I’ve contacted apple numerous times, and I can’t seem to get any help regarding this issue. I’ve called and emailed, and the developer team has yet to respond to me, if anyone’s had this issue please tell me how you solved it. i also cannot erase any devices myself until my renewal date. ive tried manually adding my devices, and its the same message that my devices already exist on team. Ive signed out of my apple account on my devices, changed pw, turned off developer mode and renabled it numerous times, I really don’t know what to do.
