Problem
After launching the host app by tapping the widget (widgetURL), calls to:
WidgetCenter.shared.reloadAllTimelines()
WidgetCenter.shared.reloadTimelines(ofKind: ...)
are ignored/deferred for an initial period right after the app opens. During this window, the widget does not reload its timeline and remains unupdated, no matter how many times I call the reload methods. After some time passes (typically ~30 seconds, sometimes shorter/longer), reload calls start working again.
There is also no developer-visible signal (no callback/error/acknowledgement) that the reload was ignored, so the app can’t detect the failure and can’t reliably recover the flow.
Question:
Is this expected behavior (throttling/cooldown) after opening the app from a widget ?
If so, is there any recommended workaround to update the widget reliably and quickly (or at least detect that the reload was not accepted)?
Any guidance would help.

These issues may also occur when opening the same pages directly in a standard browser window. However, launching the login pages from a Home Screen shortcut appears to increase the likelihood of encountering these issues.

Issue 1: A passkey authentication dialog/popup shows two times without any user operation:
What happens due to this issue:
Login does not complete after the first passkey authentication.
A second passkey authentication UI automatically appears.
Completing or canceling the second authentication allows the login to proceed.
Issue 2: Login remains stuck until the user manually invokes passkey again
What happens due to this issue:
The login page does not advance after the first authentication.
The user must tap the ID/username field again to manually trigger the passkey UI.
Completing the second authentication enables login.
Issue 3: Automatic second authentication occurs, but login still fails
What happens due to this issue:
A second automatic authentication UI appears.
Login still does not complete.
Tapping the ID field no longer opens the passkey UI; instead, the password auto-fill panel appears.
Passkey login becomes impossible.
Observed reproduction steps (not guaranteed but most consistently observed):
On iPhone, navigate to a passkey-enabled login page (e.g., Amazon, GitHub, Adobe) using a browser.
Create a shortcut from the browser's share menu and place it on the Home Screen.
Launch the login page from the Home Screen shortcut.
Tap the ID/username field to invoke the passkey prompt.
Complete passkey authentication.
→ One of the issues described above occurs.

Passkeys in iCloud Keychain
Hi, so this is my first app, it's actually almost finished, however coming closer to the app store publishing i have a few questions.
First of all, i tried making an app so it's easier for people to download it instead of a website and the app has notifications so PWA are also sometimes hit or miss and my collegues are a tad older so explaining to them how to safe to homescreen for like 50 people is not the best way.
So my app is actually only made for collegues of mine, when the app opens it's a registration page which most of the time will be locked.(i assume that's allowed?)
There's $ prices involved (max $100) at the end if they win but there's nowhere that they need to pay or anything inside the app, it's leftovers from work related activities that gets distributed amongst the winnners.
Nothing goes towards me, i earn nothing.
Also it's a football pool(for the world cup) they need to predict the score, get it right and get some points, highest points winners received the prizes.
To the people who have made countless apps, is Apple going to allow this app you think?

This will render each BookView on a different base-line because of the fact that the Text view sometimes takes 1, 2 or even 3 lines (as shown).
How can I have all BookViews alligned at a common base-line (as it would if Text would only take one line, for example)?
I’ve notice that in Maps, some pins contain images and do not have the little triangle at the bottom of it, yet they still animate the same when clicked. How could this be achieved? I believe the name of this annotation is MKMapFeatureAnnotation.
I've tried this and it did not give the same result. I'm able to create a custom MKMarkerAnnotationView but it does not animate the same (balloon animation like the MKMapFeatureAnnotation). Anti-shoulder surfing tools to protect private conversations.
Shake dashboard for quick access to emergency services.
In-chat locks with ML detection for grooming patterns, offering resources while respecting privacy.
Full user control: messages can be deleted anytime, blocking is permanent, and accounts can’t bypass restrictions on the same device.
User consent-first design: every feature is opt-in and controlled by the user.
At this point, I’m looking for guidance on how to position and prepare the app to reach Apple editorial or headline attention — what steps or best practices help mission-driven apps get noticed for features, WWDC spotlights, or App Store promotion? I’m seeing a camera/capture routing issue on visionOS when multiple WindowGroups are open at the same time.
I have a SwiftUI view that starts an AVCaptureSession on onAppear and stops it on onDisappear. The camera feed is displayed in a subview that only exists inside one window.
However, when I open additional windows (other WindowGroups) in the same app, the camera perspective/route changes unexpectedly — it looks like the capture is being re-associated with a different scene/window, even though the camera view never moved and no other view starts capture.
Expected behavior
Opening additional windows should not affect the active capture session or camera routing for the existing camera view. The camera feed should remain stable and tied to the window hosting.
Actual behavior
When multiple windows are open, the camera feed “switches perspective” / appears to re-route, as if the system changes which scene is considered active for capture. This happens without any explicit code calling startSession() again and without the camera view being present in the other windows.
Additional context
This app is running in an unbounded scene and uses Unity PolySpatial.
Hello Apple Developer Technical Support team,
We have an iOS app that provides caller identification via a Call Directory extension (CXCallDirectoryProvider). Our extension provides identification entries (phone number → label), and users enable it in Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification.
We would like to confirm whether Call Directory is used only for incoming calls, and understand why the outgoing call UI sometimes shows labels.
Observed behavior
Incoming calls:
After a user logs in again (which triggers a server sync and then reloads the Call Directory extension), the caller label is shown correctly on the incoming call screen for matching numbers.
Outgoing calls:
In general, the outgoing call screen often shows only the phone number (no label), even when the same number exists in our identification entries and the extension is enabled.
However, on some devices, the outgoing call screen does show a label even when the number is not saved in the local Contacts app.
In at least one customer case, the outgoing label behavior changed after an iOS update: before updating iOS, labels were not shown on outgoing calls; after updating iOS, labels started appearing (with no changes in our app settings/config).
Questions
Is the Phone app expected to consult Call Directory identification entries only for incoming calls (caller ID), and not for outgoing call UI?
If labels can appear on outgoing calls, what are the possible sources and rules (e.g., Recents cache, carrier Name Display/CNAM, other system caches), and is any of that behavior documented?
Are there known iOS version changes or issues that could explain “outgoing label not shown” becoming “outgoing label shown” after an OS update?
We can provide:
A minimal repro project, steps to reproduce, and exact iOS versions/devices
Screenshots/video
sysdiagnose / device logs (please advise what log types are most useful)

Hello,
When I recently distributed my app, I received the following warning message: "Starting April 2026, all visionOS apps must be built with the visionOS 26 SDK or later, included in Xcode 26 or later, in order to be uploaded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution."
However, the Apple Developer News page dated February 3 (https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=ueeok6yw) states that apps submitted to the App Store must meet the version 26 requirement starting April 28, 2026.
I need to clarify whether the mandatory enforcement begins on April 1, 2026, or April 28, 2026. As the major specification changes in version 26 are significantly impacting our current app development, the exact deadline is critical for us to determine our updated development schedule.

As the title suggests, I have a class marked with @Observable. Within the class I have multiple var's. When one of my var's changes (formation), I want to run an updateOrCreateContent(). I had thought I could just do this with a bit of combine, but I'm struggling to get it working...
The code below has a compile error at $formation

I need to detect whether a view controller is presented in a popover or in fullscreen mode, as on iPhone.
I checked viewController.popoverPresentationController but it returns a non-nil value even on iPhone, when it's clearly not in a popover.
I then checked viewController.presentationController?.adaptivePresentationStyle but it returns .formSheet even when it's presented in a popover!?! Why?
This whole adaptive presentation thingie is a mess. Heck, viewController.presentationController returns _UIPageSheetPresentationController even when the view controller is in a UINavigationController, so not presented at all.
Anybody got any ideas?
I've requested app development and am currently publishing it, but I can't contact the app development company and am unable to pay the annual fee to Apple. I don't know my registered account, so what should I do? I contacted Apple Japan, but they only handle personal inquiries and cannot handle business app development requests, so they suggested I post a question on this website. Thank you in advance.
As the title says, in apple developer site under (Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles) all my devices are set to inactive, and I cannot enable them back because my twices are glitched I have 2 devices and they are there twice each with the same UDID. So I cannot enable a single one. I’m hit with
“A device with number 'UDID number' already exists on this team.” I have an iPad Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, I cannot sign any apps to them at all or do anything because my devices are set to inactive, I’ve contacted apple numerous times, and I can’t seem to get any help regarding this issue. I’ve called and emailed, and the developer team has yet to respond to me, if anyone’s had this issue please tell me how you solved it.
i also cannot erase any devices myself until my renewal date.
ive tried manually adding my devices, and its the same message that my devices already exist on team. Ive signed out of my apple account on my devices, changed pw, turned off developer mode and renabled it numerous times, I really don’t know what to do.
